Ciara Wilson brought the heat to Seattle last night on her ‘Out of This World’ tour, making it a truly special ‘Homecoming’ for the singer. This celebratory performance comes just a day after Ciara and her husband, Russell Wilson, marked their 8th wedding anniversary.

The atmosphere was buzzing as Climate Pledge Arena welcomed Ciara with open arms, “The princess is here! Seattle has missed you ♥️ #OutOfThisWorldTour,” in a heartwarming reel. Ciara herself was quite pumped to be back on her former stomping grounds. “Can I tell you guys something,” she declared to the crowd, “it feels so good to be back home!” The 38-year-old later re-shared the reel on her IG story, celebrating her special return to Seattle.

The Seattle show had an extra special touch, as she and Wilson just celebrated their 8th wedding anniversary on July 6th. Steelers’ QB Wilson took to social media to express his love for his wife. He shared a touching video collage, where he wrote, “Since we met, you’ve been my strength, joy, and peace.” The video had cute clips of his three kids and stepson: Amora, Win, Sienna, and Future Zahir (from Ciara’s previous relationship). 

Not long ago, Ciara also celebrated another relationship milestone: meeting her husband for the first time. In March, she shared a sweet IG post, captioning, “3.26 the day that we met…9 years ago & forever.” Her heartfelt return to Seattle wasn’t just another tour stop. It marked a special moment in Mr. and Mrs. Wilson’s fairy-tale journey.

When Russ and Ciara dropped the news of their secret wedding back on July 6, 2016, it sort of blew everyone away. “It was so beautiful and felt like a fairy tale,” Ciara recalled, reflecting on that magical day. 

Initially, the Wilsons had their hearts set on North Carolina, but discriminatory bathroom laws put a flag on that play. Paris was Plan B, but Fashion Week blitzed those plans. Ultimately, the 19th-century castle won out, offering a picture-perfect backdrop for the ceremony.

Ciara’s bohemian lace wedding dress, custom-made by her friend and designer Peter Dundas for Roberto Cavalli, featured bell sleeves and a corset top that left jaws on the floor. Russell, showing off in a sleek Giorgio Armani suit, made sure the grandeur matched the wedding day. It wasn’t just a touchdown; it was their personal Super Bowl moment, kicking off their dreamy journey together.

From hush-hush planning to the big reveal, Ciara and Russ’ wedding and now their 8th anniversary show how love always scores, even when the game plan gets a bit tricky.
