“We do have some traditions as a family. Before each game, we’ll get together and pray as a family.” Ahead of the AFC Championship game, Clark Hunt revealed a couple of traditions he and his family follow to show their support for the Kansas City Chiefs. For instance, the Hunt couple kiss each other before any game as a sign of good luck to their team. But there is more than that what the Chiefs’ owner does for his franchise. Well, their QB, Patrick Mahomes, just spilled the beans.

During a press conference on Thursday, Patrick Mahomes revealed how Clark Hunt is also a major support to the Chiefs. Not just his family’s tradition or his role as a drum honoree in the AFC or Draft class. Hunt plays a crucial role in driving the team to victory. But how?

Well, quarterback Patrick Mahomes answered it by saying, “I think Clark does a great job of being there and showing his support and showing that he is invested. And you can tell he loves it, not only for his family but for all of us. Then at the same time, he lets coach (Andy) Reid help run the organization, the football side of it. But he has a huge impact on this organization.” Well, no doubt that Hunt is a great supporter of his team, not only because he is the owner but also because he loves football and loves his community a lot.

And this is also evident in how his entire family attends most of the Chiefs’s games to support the Red Army. This was even praised by Patrick Mahomes too. He said, “The way that he comes to work every single day. He’s always there.” So, for the 29-year-old, it’s really cool to see someone coming from Texas and saying “All the best from Texas.”

Clark Hunt’s encouragement for the team is not questionable. But unity is necessary. And that’s why the owner also made sure that this belief in the team comes from Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid’s presence. That’s why he once mentioned, “I got rid of all my lucky ties when we hired Andy Reid and drafted Patrick Mahomes. We didn’t need those lucky ties.” It’s true, that in the NFL, chemistry wins games as much as talent does.

But above all, we can’t forget the word consistently while talking about the Chiefs. After all, it’s Andy Reid’s motto too.

Patrick Mahomes reveals Andy Reid’s ultimate expectation for his Team!

The Chiefs are heading toward a three-peat. If this happens, they will create a history in doing so. No NFL team has done it before. But what takes it to be here? If you ask Andy Reid, he will say his favorite word, “consistency.” Because that’s what keeps the team performing better every time. But if you ask the same question to Patrick Mahomes, especially about what drives the coach to chase every win; he would have a longer version to it.

During the same presser, Mahomes revealed, “I think what drives coach Reid is the greatness and becoming better people every single day. I think that something special about him. And that is he doesn’t care if he’s playing week 18 or week one or Super Bowl or preseason game. He’s the same. He’s going to expect greatness out of you. And when you leave the building, he wants to be a better person than when you got in the building.” And this mindset keeps the Chiefs focused on their goal, taking one step at a time.

So, all in all, as per Patrick Mahomes, Clark Hunt’s support, Andy Reid’s ideology, and the team’s following them unitedly, keep the Chiefs ahead of all!
