The Chiefs kingdom has a lot to celebrate this offseason. It’s not just about their exciting international game in Brazil and their chances at the 2025 season Super Bowl. Some of the most exciting updates happen right around families. Clark Hunt’s (Chiefs’ owner) family has always been rooted in faith. And the Chiefs queen Tavia Hunt becomes the grounding force for them all. So, when the Chiefs got a major reason to celebrate this Saturday, it was no surprise that Tavia celebrated it with a strong message of faith.
“We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of His will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please Him in every way.” – Colossians 1:9-10. With these words of faith, Tavia Hunt sent a powerful message to her son on new beginnings. But what was the reason? Well, it was the beginning of a brand new journey for Knobel Hunt.
The occasion? His graduation ceremony at SMU. But it wasn’t just your everyday congratulations post. In a classic Tavia Hunt moment, she turned her post into an open heart letter for her son. Tavia Wrote, “Dear Knobel, The day you were born, God gave us one of our greatest blessings—and watching you grow into the man you are today has been one of the deepest joys of our lives. You’ve always lived up to your name: noble in spirit, strong in conviction, and full of life and love.” Penning her emotions on the post, Tavia encouraged Knobel to stay rooted in faith. She wants him to remember where he comes from, especially as he gears up for a new life in New York.

About eight months ago, Knobel got an exciting opportunity. According to his LinkedIn, he’s now a “Incoming Investment Banking Analyst at JPMorgan Chase & Co.” It is a full-time role that will have him in the heart of the bustling city that never sleeps. As Knobel prepares for this new journey in his life, Tavia only wants the best for him. She further wrote, “You’re stepping into a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, and the voices you choose to listen to will shape the man you continue becoming.” As Tavia ends the letter with a heartfelt, “You’ll never walk alone. We’ll always be in your corner—praying for you, cheering you on, and trusting God with your future. He’s not finished with you yet. With all our love, Mom and Dad”, she adds the Colossians 19:10 Bible verse. A strong and personal reminder for Knobel.
And Knobel Hunt? Moved by his mother’s outspoken love and message of faith, he had three words to say that sum up everything he is feeling. “Love you Mom ❤️,” with these three simple, heartfelt words, he tips his graduation cap to Tavia, and looks ahead to the new journey that awaits him. And this is not the first time Tavia has shared her feelings on faith, especially when it comes to her family. She has done it for all her children, and even the Chiefs at one point in time.
Tavia Hunt – the grounding force of faith
When the Chiefs lost the Super Bowl LIX against the Eagles, the media, of course, asked them how they felt about it. And Tavia Hunt, ever the faithful servant, had iconically given a much needed reality check to everyone present. “We all have a God-shaped hole in our hearts, and no earthly success can ever truly satisfy. This life is short. We don’t get to take Lombardi trophies or championship rings to Heaven.” Of course, a championship ring and a Lombardi trophy means a lot, but for the Hunt, it’s not bigger than her faith.

Tavia Hunt’s poignancy knows no bounds. Just recently, she celebrated mother’s day with another endearing message. “There is a holy mystery in the way love deepens over time—in the way a mother’s heart stretches wide enough to hold every memory, every milestone, every whispered prayer. I’m reminded that children are not ours to keep, but to cherish, shepherd, and release into the fullness of their calling. What a holy privilege.”

And as Knobel starts his journey in New York, we are also reminded of the words Tavia shared for her youngest daughter, Ava, when she started her own journey through college. “I’m excited for the lessons you will learn about God’s faithfulness in the coming months – Everything that you do from here on out is for you – for your success, happiness, and God’s glory.”
Tavia Hunt remains the beacon of faith for her family. And as she shares her vision of faith with the world, we think of the lessons she has instilled in her family, and the Chiefs kingdom. She is resolute, outspoken, and inspiring. And her family and fans love her for it.
