Colts vs. Jags—the week 5 showdown will be electric. Fans are already bouncing off the walls (literally!) eagerly awaiting Anthony Richardson’s status. Will he be back on-field? Spoiler alert: the Colts just released their unofficial depth chart, and it’s a relief!

Per Indianapolis‘ depth chart, Richardson’s officially been named QB1. He will be playing Sunday’s game despite last week’s injury scare. Having taken a hard hit during his face-off against the Steelers, he’s recovered now and will be ready to take down the Jags.

The Colts’ offense’s shaping up pretty nice. Michael Pittman Jr. made six receptions for 113 yards, and rookie Josh Downs scored his first TD, racking up 82 yards on eight catches. TE Drew Ogletree notched his first TD too—a major moment for the Colts’ TE-group.

On the O-line, Quenton Nelson and Ryan Kelly anchor a unit that will make all the difference for Anthony Richardson’s protection. With the likes of Braden Smith and Bernhard Raimann blocking for him, Indianapolis is confident they can create a solid pocket. The ground game, though? Pretty promising. Jonathan Taylor’s returning to action alongside Trey Sermon and Tyler Goodson.

Talking about the team’s defense, LB E.J. Speed’s having quite a season. Having recorded a team-high 13 tackles against Pittsburgh, he marked his eighth straight game (with double-digit tackles!) Speed’s currently tied with teammate Nick Cross for the league lead in tackles, both standing tall with 47.

The D-line’s been phenomenal as well, as the Colts sacked Steel City’s QB Justin Fields four times last week. With Grover Stewart and Dayo Odeyingbo wreaking havoc, the defense might take down the Jags.

As the franchise gears up for Sunday’s game, the excitement’s electric! With Richardson back in the mix and a solid supporting cast, they’re set for a strong performance. Plus, let’s give a shoutout to Joe Flacco for stepping up last week—he nailed it when it mattered!

Joe Flacco stepping in after Anthony Richardson was a game-changer

‘Phenomenal’ hardly does justice to what Joe Flacco did last game. Having stepped in (replacing Anthony Richardson), he led the Colts to a 27-24 win. Flacco completed 16 of 26 passes for 168 yards—tossing two TDs and no picks. It was like déjà vu for the veteran QB, who saved the day once again—like he did for the Browns last season.

But here’s the kicker: Flacco revealed to Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio that Cleveland didn’t even offer him a contract this offseason. Would you believe that now? With his experience and last season’s performance, you’d think they’d want the 39-year-old back as a reliable backup for Deshaun Watson. But he feels at home here in Indianapolis, as he happily shared about his time in Philly with HC coach Shane Steichen.

Flacco’s savvy play could keep the Colts in the playoff race. The league better watch out!
