The Indianapolis Colts are going through a rough time post-Week 10. After Week 14, the problems have escalated to new heights. Not only have their playoff qualification chances dropped to 51.3%, but quarterback Daniel Jones also suffered an Achilles injury. As his injury will see Jones miss the rest of the regular season, Indianapolis will naturally be handing out flyers for a quarterback. And the most sensible option right now is a 46,966-yard proven veteran.

That trade option is none other than the Giants’ third quarterback, Russell Wilson. Wilson is an NFL veteran with over a decade of experience in the league. He has a 64.6 pass completion rate for 6,120 passes for 46,966 scrimmage yards and 353 touchdowns.
The Giants owe the aging quarterback $444,444 in base salary for the rest of the season. It is not a huge amount, and letting him go would not be a problem since Wilson will already be looking for a new home after the season.

So the big question is, will Wilson be a good fit for the Colts? Well, it depends on the Colts’ offensive strategy. Russell Wilson had an underwhelming performance for the Giants, but his experience could prove valuable for the Colts, who are fighting for that playoff place.
For more than a decade, Wilson has dominated in the NFL during his time. When he played for the Seattle Seahawks, he earned nine Pro Bowl selections and played a major role in pushing his team to eight playoff appearances.

The trade deadline already passed over a month ago, and there are not many free starters on the market. Trevor Siemian and Mike White are a few names that linger on the market, but Wilson seems to fit the Indy profile better.
Daniel Jones was on a one-year contract. The Colts could have used their franchise tag or a contract extension to bring him back next season. But with the latest developments, a new quarterback seems inevitable for Indianapolis.

Daniel Jones’ Achilles injury narrowed the playoff qualification chances, but they will still be trying their best to qualify.
The Indianapolis Colts will try to reignite their spark from the beginning of the season
With Russell Wilson’s name coming up as a potential replacement for the Colts, Riley Leonard seems to be the one they put their faith in. Second quarterback Anthony Richardson Jr. is also on injury reserve after suffering a fractured orbital bone during warming. Even with so much going on, Indianapolis will try to return to its winning ways.

In their last four games, they managed to win only one. They still have four matches left before the regular season ends. Currently, 8-5 in the league and third in the AFC South, and the only way they return to the top is by winning all these matches.
Of course, it is easier said than done. Shane Steichen’s team will be on the road against the 10-3 Seattle Seahawks in Week 15. After the 36-19 loss against the Jaguars, they had already experienced a 21.3% drop in their qualification chances. Amid their losing streak and QB problems, it remains interesting to see whether they can break out in the upcoming week or their qualification chances take another hit.
