After an electric rookie year, quarterback Jayden Daniels hasn’t had the smoothest sophomore season so far. The Washington Commanders’ QB has already missed three of their eight games, and while he works on getting healthy and back in rhythm, his mom, Regina Jackson, is stealing some of the spotlight in her own lane.

Jackson just announced that she’ll be part of a special pop-up event showcasing her sportswear creations, and she couldn’t be more excited. “I’m so excited to finally share a brand I’ve been showcasing all season long 🤍 Join me for an exclusive pop-up event with @bungeebrandusa @neimanmarcustysons — you won’t want to miss it!” she wrote on Instagram.

The event will highlight her custom designs, along with men’s and women’s collections from Bungee CEO and designer Darrell Alston. Guests can look forward to a Q&A session, plus drinks and snacks afterward. It’s happening on November 1, from 2 to 4 PM at Neiman Marcus Tysons Galleria. The event will be open to the public.
Jackson’s partnership with Bungee Brand isn’t new; it’s been catching eyes all season. In fact, Alston created a one-of-a-kind custom varsity dress for her that she proudly wore to one of her son’s games. “A powerful moment between a mother and her son on game day. I had the honor of creating this custom varsity dress just for her — a one-of-a-kind piece made with love, not for sale. 🙏🏾✨,” Bungee wrote on Instagram.

It’s easy to see how close Daniels and his mom are. Beyond fashion, Jackson is also a certified NFL agent, having passed the exam last July and earned her license in the fall of 2024. She holds both an MBA in entrepreneurship and a master’s in public service administration.
Interestingly, she doesn’t officially represent her son, but she’s still his biggest cheerleader. “My mother has never missed a game. If it’s raining out there, she’s going to be out there. If it’s [negative] degrees, she’s going to be out there standing up the whole time making sure she’s cheering me on,” Daniels said last year.
This season, though, Jackson’s probably had fewer chances to do that.

Jayden Daniel’s injury woes and the Chiefs’ loss
Daniels has been sidelined quite a bit. Monday night’s 28–7 loss to the Chiefs was his third missed game of the year. After suffering a hamstring injury in Week 7 against Dallas, on top of an earlier knee sprain that kept him out for Weeks 3 and 4, Daniels has watched from the sidelines while Marcus Mariota filled in.
Mariota managed just 639 yards, 4 touchdowns, and 4 interceptions, with only one win, against the Raiders. At 3–5, Washington’s season is hanging by a thread. They’ve failed to take advantage of a struggling Cowboys defense, and couldn’t even crack 22 points against a team that’s been giving up 30-plus per game.

Still, when Daniels is healthy, he’s been solid. In just five appearances, he’s totaled 1,031 passing yards, 8 touchdowns, and only one pick. If he can stay on the field, the Commanders could easily overtake the Cowboys and climb back into contention. Because the Cowboys are obviously going to lose more games with that backline.
While ESPN’s Adam Schefter hinted that Daniels might sit out Week 9 against the Seahawks, head coach Dan Quinn sounded a bit more optimistic, saying on Tuesday that he expects Jayden Daniels to return to practice on Wednesday. It’ll be a must-win matchup. Another slip-up could end whatever playoff hopes they have left.
