The love-hate saga between Jerry Jones and Micah Parsons just keeps going. In a recent interview with SiriusXM, the Cowboys’ owner once again called out Parsons for lying over a training table during a preseason game. While this didn’t sit well with everyone, it compelled a former Dallas QB to jump in to defend Micah and push back at Jones.

“Let’s be real… Micah was probably tired of watching me play in the 4th Q of that preseason game I dont blame him,” Ben DiNucci responded to Jones via X.

Well, this is not the first time DiNucci has displayed his fondness towards Parsons.

Following the Cowboys’ trading Micah Parsons to the Green Bay Packers earlier this season, Ben DiNucci, who was no longer with the Cowboys, poked his former team by telling Cowboys fans to “Have a fun year,” which was seen as a playful jab amid the drama of Parsons’ trade. But, it appears that not only the Cowboys, but also other NFL regiments need the “best wishes” as well.

The 26-year-old linebacker is having a strong 2025 season with the Packers. He has recorded a total of 20 tackles with 6.5 sacks. He was even named as the NFC’s defensive player of the month in October when he recorded his first 3 sacks for Green Bay. However, while his on-field performances continue to draw praise, his former boss continues to bash him for his off-field conduct.

You know it’s not a Jerry Jones interview without some brutal honesty. While slamming Parsons for lying over a training table, Jones compared his actions to former Cowboys legends Michael Irvin and DeMarcus Ware.

“Not one time, not even in the hottest of days and two-a-days in August in Texas, between 11 in the morning or when they quit practicing or four in the afternoon, did I never see any one of these two [Irvin and Ware] go over and lay on a damn training table in front of a million people,” Jones said. “Never. It’s not in their makeup. … It’s just not in their makeup.”

And if this wasn’t enough, the 83-year-old owner criticized Parsons’ leadership.

“And there wasn’t a question of wanting him on the team,” Jones said. “But to anoint him in terms of [being captain of the defense], and everybody else looking at him, you better [do] some thinking.”

Fans wait to hear it from Micah on the latest controversy, like he defended himself on the previous one. The star edge rusher said earlier that he would “never disrespect the guys out there fighting for their lives.”

He insisted the viral photo making rounds back then was completely taken out of context, a reminder to fans that not everything seen on social media tells the full story.
