The Cowboys finished the Week 4 game with a 40-40 tie against the Packers. It was a heart-pounding game. Especially for the thousands of fans who wanted the team to go all the way. Dak Prescott is their leader. And after the first month of the season, they have only one win.

Hearts pounded even faster when fans saw the signal caller using a heating pad on his lower back during the game. NBC sideline reporter Melissa Stark reported the news that the QB used the heating pad on multiple occasions. She even claimed that whenever Dak Prescott does this, he comes off the game. But it didn’t happen on Sunday, September 28.

When asked during the post-game conference, he dismissed any worrying concerns and said, “Everything’s great. Yeah, just guess getting older. Just things come up a little bit, but I’m fine.” The QB looked fine during the conference and even joked with Stark on the sideline after the game ended. When told that Micah Parsons‘ tackle on him was recorded as a sack, he first reacted, “No way!”

But he later smiled and accepted it without any problem by replying, “That’s all right. He can have it. He can have it.”

Overall, America’s Team can now breathe easy as their quarterback is fully healthy to lead them in the next game. The game was full of fireworks, as everyone expected. Dak Prescott came up with the best performance of this season with 31 of 40 passes (77.5% completion rate) for 319 yards and 3 touchdowns. He even rushed the ball for 2 yards to score a rushing touchdown.

His counterpart, Jordan Love, also had a great game with 31 of 43 passes for 337 yards and 3 touchdowns. But the Cowboys’ plans were spoiled by the Packers’ kicker, Brandon McManus, who kicked a 53-yard field goal at the end of the game to equalize. He then ended the overtime with another 34-yarder. It made sure that the Packers didn’t suffer their 2nd loss.

For the Cowboys owner and GM, Jerry Jones, it was an enormous sigh of relief as the fans were already taunting him for letting Parsons go to their NFC rivals. When asked after the game, why he signed the huge extension with Prescott but not the DE. He bluntly replied, “It’s very simple. Dak was indispensable in my mind. And Micah wasn’t.“

That’s huge praise, considering that Prescott has never taken them to the NFC Championship even once in 9 seasons. However, there’s another big update for America’s Team.

Dak Prescott’s protector suffers injury

The Cowboys’ offensive line is already missing starting center Cooper Beebe and starting right guard Tyler Booker. But another name got added to the injured list after the LT Tyler Guyton suffered a concussion against the Packers. He took the hit during the second half, after which LT Nate Thomas replaced him.

Patrik Walker confirmed the news after talking to Dak Prescott’s teammate. He wrote on X, “Tyler Guyton tells me he did in fact suffer a concussion. He will need to clear protocol in order to take the field against the Jets.” While the Cowboys did not reveal the extent of the concussion, it’s definitely something to worry about if he needs to clear the protocol.

This year, Guyton has suffered a string of injuries. Back in July, he suffered a knee injury, which put him out of practice for many days. The injuries could spell doom for America’s Team, which isn’t performing to the fans’ expectations. With so much pressure, this season will be problematic for Dak Prescott and his teammates.
