When it comes to the Jones family, it’s not just about football. Just a day before the Dallas Cowboys’ win against the New York Jets, Charlotte Jones Anderson stepped into a different kind of spotlight.

The Gene and Jerry Jones family received amfAR’s Philanthropic Leadership Award. Dallas Mavericks legend Dirk Nowitzki presented the award, acknowledging the Jones family’s significant contributions to Dallas and beyond. “We are all better off having the Joneses as part of our community,” Nowitzki said, presenting the award.

Accepting the honor on behalf of the family, Jessica Donnell said, “Seeing the difference that amfAR can make in people’s lives has been a powerful reminder of the importance of giving back.”

The gala was hosted by TV star Teri Hatcher. Hollywood star Nicole Kidman was also in attendance. The gala also featured performances by Diana Ross and Parson James, and recognized film and TV star Taylor Sheridan with an Award of Inspiration.

While Charlotte was shining a light on important causes at the gala, the Cowboys were gearing up to deliver a win the very next day that would light up fans and the Jones family alike.

Cowboys celebrate win over Jets

The following day, the Jones family was in high spirits after the Dallas Cowboys’ 37-22 victory over the Jets at MetLife Stadium. Charlotte shared the moment on Instagram, posting a family photo with her brother, Cowboys CEO Stephen Jones, and others, captioned with a single, emphatic word: “WINNING!”

This win was a critical boost for the Cowboys team, now sitting at 2-2-1 in the season, coming off a tie with the Green Bay Packers the previous week. The victory quieted some doubts about Dallas’ offensive rhythm and defensive consistency.

Charlotte’s role as Executive Vice President and Chief Brand Officer means she’s been neck-deep in the Cowboys’ cultural and business success since 1990. She’s been instrumental in initiatives that define the team’s larger influence. That includes creating the Cowboys’ Thanksgiving halftime show, a nationally televised event that has brought together entertainment and philanthropy while raising billions for charity.

Meanwhile, Jerry Jones celebrated the win by mocking Jets fans at the stadium and pointing with a grin. The Jones family continues to rally behind the team with the same intensity that’s kept the franchise relevant for decades. The photo included her children and other family members as well.
