Jerry JonesDallas Cowboys never do calm. This offseason kicked off with a bold move, trading for George Pickens from Pittsburgh. Now, all eyes are on what’s next, especially with Micah Parsons and his looming extension. But here’s the thing, it’s not just Parsons. The front office might have more tough calls coming their way real soon, and the latest is regarding their safety.

This season, Jerry Jones and the Cowboys agreed to re-sign defensive back Israel Mukuamu to a one-year deal. In addition, Juanyeh Thomas and Markquese Bell also signed their extensions. But what about the player who is in front of them? Donovan Wilson is eyeing his contract with the team. However, as per the reports, that might not happen this time.

As per rumors, Jerry Jones’ franchise could be over Wilson. According to podcaster Dan Rogers on X, “The team can save $8.65 million in cap space by releasing Donovan Wilson after June 1st.” As we mentioned earlier, “Safeties Markquese Bell, Juanyeh Thomas, and Israel Mukuamu all signed extensions with the Cowboys in March.” But the 7-year Cowboys veteran, Wilson, is still waiting.

Donovan Wilson has been with the Cowboys his whole career, but that run might be near the end. Dallas needs money. A post-June 1 cut saves them over $8 million. That cash could go straight into locking up Micah Parsons, which everyone knows is Jerry Jones’ real priority.

Wilson didn’t help himself last season. He just registered one pick, gave up 31 catches, and ranked 97th among safeties. Not ideal. On top of that, the team’s already leaning on younger guys like Markquese Bell, Juanyeh Thomas, and Israel Mukuamu. And that’s why they’ve all been extended.

So, the direction is clear. As camp inches closer, Wilson’s future feels more uncertain by the day. This could be his final chapter in Jerry Jones’ Cowboys story. But there could be a start for a fresh face in the Cowboys’ D-line this year.

What’s your perspective on:

Is cutting Donovan Wilson the right move, or are the Cowboys risking too much for cap space?

Jerry Jones might add depth in defense!

So here’s the buzz – Jalen Ramsey might be packing up and heading to Jerry Jones’ Dallas franchise. The Cowboys are one of the teams reportedly talking with Miami about a trade. And just when things were heating up, Ramsey went and bought a house near Fort Worth. That’s right in Cowboys country. Coincidence? Maybe. But probably not.

Now, Ramsey’s 30. He’s still got juice, but he’s chasing one thing: a ring. He wants to win. But let’s be honest, Dallas didn’t exactly light it up last season. They only won seven games. And yes, Dak Prescott was hurt, but still, it wasn’t pretty. Ramsey did his thing in Miami. In just 27 games, he made five picks, stacked over 80 tackles, and made the Pro Bowl. But Miami‘s clearly ready to move on. They’re shopping him now.

So, that house in Texas got folks talking. It doesn’t mean a deal’s done, but with a post-June 1 cut favoring the cap gymnastics, it sure feels like something’s coming regarding Ramsey’s trade. So, will Jerry Jones go all guns blazing to pair him with Parsons? What do you think?
