As the Cowboys gear up for the fight against the Carolina Panthers, they decided to pay tribute to Jimmy Johnson, and we will see it soon, just after Christmas!

Johnson is a legendary coach who started his career with the Cowboys decades ago and led the team to two Super Bowl Championships.

The coach, who was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2021, has had his stature elevated even further. He is the 24th Cowboy to achieve what he has won with the richest franchise in sports history. The Cowboys’ owner, Jerry Jones, and Jimmy Johnson were seen hanging out at the Panthers’ game.

Welcome, Jimmy Johnson

On Sunday, the Cowboys inducted their former coach, Jimmy Johnson, into the Cowboys’ Ring of Honor. He will be celebrated for his achievements on December 30, when the Dallas Cowboys play against the Detroit Lions at the AT&T Stadium. From the tweet from Jane Slater, it looks like Johnson was the heart and soul of the Cowboys when he took over the team.

“You were inspirational, I can’t have felt then, I can’t believe now that we were able to experience such a time in our lives,” said Jones to Johnson.

“A lot of people have talked about the tension between us, but we never disagreed on anything,” Johnson said in response to Jerry Jones. Johnson’s tenure with the Cowboys was the team’s golden era, and Jerry Jones decided to enshrine him with the Ring of Honor.

The Triples, Michael Irvin, Troy Aikman, and Emmitt Smith were brought into the Cowboys to help them win a Super Bowl title. Johnson helped the Cowboys win the Super Bowl in years 4, 5, and 7 of his career with the Dallas Cowboys.

He coached seven other Pro Bowlers, other than Smith, Aikman, and Irvin. Apart from these three, Larry Allen and Charles Haley also became Hall of Fame inductees. Per Jane Slater, Ian Rapoport, and many football enthusiasts, Johnson’s Ring of Honor was long overdue, but he is now.

One take at a time

Basketball has stuck with me ever since I was a kid. I remember watching Kobe Bryant sometime in 2008 and being blown away. Like every kid my age, I was utterly taken aback by his moves and abilities as an athlete.
