Henry might soon find himself in the hallowed Hall of Fame at Canton. The Titans’ official X page shared his latest feat. And what was it? In the Jaguars game, he recorded his 90th career touchdown. And why is that significant? With it, he has found his play among two other legends. He is now tied with Eric Dickerson and Curtis Martin at #13 for the most number of career TDs.

Derrick Henry broke free of the Jaguars’ defense and then raced 18 yards to secure the rushing TD. It happened in the second quarter of the game when the Jaguars were leading 7-10. It not only closed the gap for the Titans, but pushed them ahead of the Jags as well. As soon as Henry scored, the entire stadium rang with his name.

Ahead of the game, Henry had nothing but good things to say about his team. He said, “Any player would love to play for an organization, finish out their career as long as they can.” Was he upset about the fact that the Titans had not extended his contract? Not really. He said. “But there’s a business side and all those types of things that go on, and I understand that. We’ll just see how it shakes out during the offseason.”

He’s going to have a lot of takers when he enters free-agency. The running back knows how to motor an offense. He earned his fourth Pro-Bowl this year, and recorded 1,014 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns, this season. But even that is low compared to the standards he has set for himself. He said that he needed a down year like the current one “to be able to grow, to be able to learn, to be able to reflect”.
