Aaron Rodgers has turned 40 years old. Therefore, it’s obvious for many to speculate on his retirement rumors and health conditions, because he was injured in the last season as he made his Jets’ debut.

Rodgers is currently on the recovery road after an Achilles tear surgery. As mentioned in the year earlier, he is awaiting the 2024 game season to begin. Now that he will be back in the gridiron, many are wondering about his health and performance in the upcoming season.

The most significant reason for hiring Aaron Rodgers on their 58-man roster for the Jets was to win the Super Bowl after 1969. However, due to unfortunate situations, he couldn’t make it possible in the last season. But will he be able to do this now, when his age and season-gap factor is a barrier?

Pat McAfee asked a similar question to his guest host Pacman Jones, “Why is Aaron so highly respected by every human that’s ever played against?” To which Jones replied, “It’s because of the play action and the flick of the race he can throw the ball from the opposite side of the hash all the way to the opposite numbers on the other side, everybody can’t do that!

He mentioned Rodgers’ skill in executing play actions and his remarkable ability to throw accurately across the field. Jones further added, “You could be in good coverage but the ball be there and it’s going to be on time nine times out of 10 so it’s it’s a 50/50 I don’t think so because he didn’t play Tom he got in the lead so he had a little time even though he’s 40 years old. I really think he still got a lot more football in there.

Commending Rodgers’ and his excellence over others, the former Cincinnati QB, highlighted that even “if he lose a little touch [due to his age and season-gap], he’s still going to be better than 90% of everybody else like he’s at the top of the level when it come throwing the ball. You haven’t seen too many quarterbacks that can throw the ball like Aaron can.”

Nonetheless, it remains to be seen whether Rodgers could pass the ball easily in the season, or will his age somewhat impact his career. However, one thing is for sure that Rodgers is going to grace the football field next season, as he has sidelined his retirement rumors and talks.

Last year in December, during his retirement rumors, Aaron Rodgers addressed this speculation on Pat McAfee’s show. He mentioned that he doesn’t envision walking away from the league even after the 2024 season.

When asked if the 2024 season will be his final season of the career, Rodgers claimed, “I don’t think so. I don’t think next year will be my last year.” He further added, “I thought that I’d probably be sitting on the couch somewhere at 40, but now I want to be a starter at 40. I want to be a starter at 41. I want to see what I can get out of this body.”
