Do people unequivocally believe in Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs? Or more importantly, can they get a 3 peat? The answer to those questions is not clear. What’s clear is that the Chiefs have singlehandedly taken all the spotlight from rivals like the Baltimore Ravens and even the Buffalo Bills. Some even think that the Chiefs are the only thing journos will talk about in the future.

One of those people is Nick Wright, who provoked the thought of Chiefs winning another Super Bowl being “sneakily bad.” Colin Cowherd invited Nick Wright to The Colin Cowherd Podcast and Wright shared his “NFL urgency thought” and backed it up with interesting NBA anecdotes.

Wright started off taking LeBron James’ Heat career as a starting point. Miami Heat was on a roller coaster of ups and downs with LeBron James. But that’s what kept the people hooked on to the team. There always existed mixed reactions about the team. But things are a bit different when it comes to the NFL.

After some point, Wright pointed out that the Chiefs getting a three-peat is a bad thing for the NFL. He stated how the Chiefs winning this Super Bowl was a “sneaky bad thing.” Why? Because the people and the media will stop doubting the Kansas City Chiefs and be biased when they talk about them. But the Chiefs achieved this feat systematically, beating the Ravens and the Bills along the way.

“For NFL conversation next season, I think the Chiefs winning the Super Bowl was a sneaky bad thing. Because now, there is every NFL conversation is going to almost either implicitly or explicitly include, like nobody is going to feel I think feel, almost allowed to doubt the Chiefs.”The statement got Colin Cowherd to draw an interesting comparison.

The previous statement from Nick Wright got Colin Cowherd to say that the Chiefs are the new “entertaining version” of the New England Patriots. He pointed out how the Chiefs won the Super Bowl without a proper offense, just piggybacking on their defense. Cowherd called Mahomes a “cheat code” and said that the Chiefs already had the rubrics cube.

“There are really big chance you’re not gonna get a quarterback as gifted as Josh Allen or as electric as Lamar or as accurate as Burrow and if they can’t do it you may not be able to do it,” said Cowherd adding to the fact that the Chiefs won a couple of road games along the way.

There might be some truth to the fact that people would not blink before siding with the Chiefs in the future. This perspective might create a bias and people might lose objectivity and not recognize what the other teams are doing.
