Simplicity! This one word would be perfect, to sum up his way of living. Despite landing a $255 million deal in 2023, Hurts still resides in an apartment on rent. Yes, you heard it right! Jalen Hurts, despite being the highest-paid player in the league at that time, pays $2,000 a month in Cherry Hill, New Jersey.

The reason? As we already informed above – simplicity! Still, a curious reporter asked Jalen Hurts about his choice to live in a rental apartment. To which, the QB expressed, “I didn’t buy a house or anything like that when I got drafted because it was just me.” Why?

Well, he added, “I didn’t need this big place just for myself. I just got myself a little apartment. You know, something smooth that’ll last me for the time being.” Hmm….a perfect choice to not spend more money on lavish comfort.

Jalen Hurts’s Cherry Hill home is a less-than-20-minute drive from Philadelphia. The inside pictures of his home haven’t been revealed yet by the player. However, we can tell you that it’s a suburban neighborhood with a uniform layout of modern, single-family homes. The houses have a contemporary suburban style, featuring pitched roofs, neutral-colored exteriors, and well-maintained lawns. In addition, the streets curve smoothly, giving the area a planned and organized look. Driveways lead to attached garages, and sidewalks line the roads, making it pedestrian-friendly. His home appears spacious, with neatly trimmed grass.

It’s a beauty. But wait, the story hasn’t ended yet! Despite living in a rental apartment, Jalen Hurts plays the long game in real estate too.

Jalen Hurts boasts some luxurious homes for his family

Besides his rental apartment, Jalen Hurts boasts some luxurious homes as well. However, all these are not under his own name. The first home he bought was a $215,000 house in Humble, Texas, where he grew up. But instead of keeping it for himself, he put it in his father’s name. Of course, family is first for him.

Furthermore, when he was drafted, he didn’t choose Philadelphia to buy his house. In 2023, he purchased a 3,000-square-foot, four-bedroom home in Houston. And this time he bought it under his mother’s name. But his biggest flex came in 2021.

Jalen Hurts dropped $6 million on a massive 6,000-square-foot estate just five miles from his childhood home. Then, he bought the house next door for $2.68 million. Wow! Now that’s a really interesting investment for sure.
