The Miami Dolphins owner, Stephen Ross, was understandably frustrated after the team’s back-to-back losses. Before their 34-10 win over the Atlanta Falcons, the owner went viral for appearing visibly angry. And it doesn’t seem to be for the team.

A video on X showed the Dolphins owner stepping off his multi-million-dollar private jet, slipping on his jacket, and appearing visibly irritated as he made his way toward his car. His hand gestures seemed to suggest frustration, possibly over the distance he had to walk from the jet to the vehicle.

Dov Kleiman also shared the clip on X.  “More money, more problems,” he wrote. Now, the reason behind his reaction might have been something entirely different. But once netizens got hold of the video, it quickly went viral, with many taking hilarious jabs at Ross in the comments.

But the rest added that the owner has bigger issues than this to worry about. They hinted at the Dolphins’ situation. The team was 1-6, and they had an important game against the Falcons. “He has bigger problems than this,” one netizen wrote, “like being the Dolphins owner, for example.”

Both the coach, Mike McDaniel, and the quarterback, Tua Tagovailoa, were under massive pressure this season. More losses and they could risk their position in the team. Their Week 7 loss to the Cleveland Browns was a major blow to the team. Many fans felt this was the final straw, believing the owner might finally take a drastic step he’s long avoided.

It was an embarrassing 31-6 loss filled with penalties and mistakes. Fortunately, the team managed to turn things around in this game. Though the same can’t be said for Ross.

Fans called out Stephen Ross for his tantrums

“Imagine being worth billions and still mad you had to walk 40 extra feet … rich folks really out here suffering in 4K,” one netizen wrote about the owner. As per Wikipedia, Ross ranked 185 on the Forbes Billionaires list in 2020 and has a net worth of $10.1 billion. But the netizens were more upset about the game ahead.

After week 7, it was tough for the fans to keep their hopes high. One mockingly wrote, “This is so hard to watch. I feel awful for him. PRAYING right now (rn).”

Now, the Dolphins fans are loyal to a fault. Year after year, they stick around, no matter how painful the season gets. That’s dedication. But even the most faithful fans can only take so much before they start to wonder if the experience is worth it. Perhaps Ross has finally begun to figure out the situation.

The ticket prices for the games will remain the same for next year, as decided by Ross and the company. Some will even see a drop in prices. Moreover, the owner also got a front-row lesson in how another team treats its fanbase, and it came courtesy of the Falcons. From free T-shirts to flags waving in every corner of the stadium, the Falcons made sure their crowd felt appreciated.

While there’s more frustration on the other end. “I wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy,” another wrote on X, joking about the situation.

As for the backlash to his pregame gesture, social media didn’t hold back. Fans flooded the comments with criticism, with one user writing, “I think he’s just mad the Dolphins suck,” while another chimed in, “Cry me a river.” The reactions reflected the growing frustration among fans as tensions around the team continue to rise.
