Tyreek Hill is moving forward with determination after undergoing surgery for a dislocated knee injury during his previous game. He reportedly tore multiple ligaments in his knee, including his ACL, and required immediate medical intervention. “I’m doing great, I’m doing fantastic. I’m walking. And God has blessed me to this point, this far. So I would not be in any other position. I really haven’t had time to think about the injury. It all happened so fast, but you know, great surgeon, great team, dolphins. Those guys are taking great care of me and obviously my family, so let’s get the journey started,” Hill said in the new video.

Hill’s recovery is marked by strong support from his teammates and coaching staff. Coach Mike McDaniel, De’Von Achane, and Tua Tagovailoa expressed their sincere concerns post-game.

“Our thoughts and our prayers are with him,” QB Tagovailoa said. Members of the Dolphins have visited and checked in throughout the week, underscoring his importance in the locker room. Tyreek Hill’s gratitude has also extended to the team’s medical staff, who helped stabilize and operate on the injury swiftly. 

His family has remained close during this stretch, assisting in daily recovery and ensuring he remains focused on returning stronger. The 31-year-0ld also shared glimpses of the moments he shared with his family from the hospital. Photographs of his mom next to him with captions “Blessed” and “Love my mom.”

In a dismal loss, 33-8 to the Indianapolis Colts in week 1, Hill caught just four catches for 40 yards. However, he gained 109 yards on six grabs against the New England Patriots in Week 2. And against the Buffalo Bills, Tyreek Hill recorded five receptions for 49 yards and scored his first touchdown of the season.

Tua Tagovailoa’s injury comeback ahead of the Chargers game

Despite recent health issues, Tua Tagovailoa has solidified his spot on the Dolphins’ active roster. Hip and left-thumb difficulties limited his practice during the week. But he overcame them to participate fully in the Thursday session. Frank Smith, the offensive coordinator, said,

“Ultimately, he’s working through stuff for the week, and we’re not overly concerned for Sunday. We’re working through the process to Sunday, but I mean, we’re not anticipating any setback for him for playing on Sunday.”He was able to gradually increase his level of intensity thanks to his rehabilitation program.

It included joint stability, physical therapy, and tracked throwing progressions. Tagovailoa has recorded 1,008 passing yards, 10 touchdowns, and 4 interceptions through five games this season, with a 70.7% completion rate. His consistent output strengthens the club’s confidence in keeping him active. However, the team is down 1-4 thus far this season.

The team views Tua as their leader and focal point. And they now look to him for converting performance into results.
