The Super Bowl LVIII started on a relatively quiet note. Although the 49ers hold the lead over the Chiefs, the match has been anything but quiet. The Defensive and the offensive clashes have witnessed some close calls. But the Dre Greenlaw’s Achilles tendon injury is one that left many scratching their heads. It’d be expected that he may have been injured in a brutal clash, but the lower leg injury is unfortunate, to say the least.
As the 49ers star was preparing to go back on the pitch, he was jumping up and down and warming up, and as he stepped on the pitch; he slipped on his feet and hurt himself. The Lower leg injury has seen him get carted off and fears the worst for the 49ers and the fans.

The 26-year-old Linebacker has been crucial for the 49ers this season. He played a big part for the Niners in their NFC clash against the Detroit Lions with 2 Interceptions. Following his contributions, the fans and his teammates would have hoped to rely on him and lead the team to Super Bowl Glory.
Greenlaw’s injury comes as an early blow to the Niners who’ve managed to hold back the Chiefs so far.
Here’s an update on Dre Greenlaw
A no-contact freak injury is something nobody could have seen coming, as most on-pitch injuries result in a blow. Unfortunately, Dre Kleiman is designated as questionable to return with an Achilles tendon injury. This comes as a double trouble since the linebacker also missed the Week 18 game due to Achilles tendinitis.

Even though the game started slow, the Chiefs have been unable to break down the 49ers setup as they continue to play an uphill battle. The Niners were dominating with a 7-point lead in the second half. Then came Deebo Samuel’s injury.
