“Out in the back of my yard playing football with my son, that’s it. I don’t know. It’s the nature of the business. But like I said, my focus was to be present with my family and kids, and get healthy,” he said. “I’m playing, I’m good to go. Has I said anything to not be here?”

It’s easy to see how things got there, though. After three straight 1,000-yard seasons and a franchise record-setting year two seasons back, a slump like this is peculiar.

“He wears a ‘C’ for a reason. He’s an important part of this team, of this organization. He cares about winning, he cares about his teammates, and I think when you’re a team like ours that is looking forward to an opportunity to compete for a championship, you just don’t get rid of guys like that,” Eagles GM Howie Roseman said about the wideout.
