The Philadelphia Eagles started the season like true Super Bowl champions. But fast forward a few weeks, and that polished offense is struggling to find its rhythm. Two straight losses have exposed cracks that no statue or banner can hide. AJ Brown stepped up to the mic after two frustrating losses to address the “main issues.”

Reporters pressed him on what’s dragging the offense down. His reply didn’t throw the play-calling under the bus, but hit the heart of a deeper issue: “Self-inflicted wounds.”
“Sometimes it’s lack of execution at the wrong time. If it’s first down and you get a lack of execution, it may not be the end of the world. But when it happens on third down, puts us behind the sticks, that’s hard to recover in this league. So, I think just being on the same page, communication, lack of execution,” Brown said plainly.

The Eagles’ offense ranks 30th in yards. Running the ball has almost disappeared. And second-half points? Nearly nonexistent. Lane Johnson called out their poor execution after Week 6, criticizing predictable plays.

“We have things that we talk about, and then a lot of it goes out there, and the execution isn’t there. We get behind the chains, I get very predictable,” Lane said.
Jalen Hurts responded by backing his coaching staff and play-calling. Still, the stats don’t lie. And Brown is doubling down on the “execution” part of it. Earlier, when he was asked to give his two cents, this is what he said.
“You know, our job is to just come out and just execute,” Brown said. “We can’t worry about what people say, or if they say that. My job is to go out here and win, win my route, go back to the hub.”
However, this isn’t the only issue Eagles are dealing with right now. There’s another major problem humming beneath the surface.

AJ Brown opens up about Eagles’ locker room tension
The cracks in the offense have exposed deeper questions about chemistry and trust. The locker room at Nova Care Complex is chaotic and charged with frustration. Though players and coaches say otherwise in public.
Even Brown’s measured take on the vibe was telling. When asked what the “vibe” of the team was after two consecutive losses, the wide receiver gave a balanced answer.
“Sound normal, huh? Kind of, yeah. We’re not letting a loss just humble us…This team is fine. This team is motivated. We’re trying to get on the same page,” Brown said.
The narrative of being on the “same page” has been going around for a while in Philly. Last time when the Brown-Hurts controversy surfaced, the head coach, Nick Sirianni, served us with the same calm dismissal.
But the tension keeps bubbling up. Whether it’s AJ growing frustrated with Kevin Patullo’s play-calling or dropping cryptic posts on social media. The wide receiver has been pointing out these struggles for a while now, while the coach and quarterback are busy trying to douse the flames.
The real question lingers: can the Eagles blend star power, discipline, and sharp execution before it’s too late? The upcoming games are going to be make-or-break for the Birds.
