The missing element of easy trust and instinct-catching that once characterized their connection seems less consistent. In week 5 against the Denver Broncos, a 21-17 loss resulted, with Hurts posting 280 yards and 60.5% completion. Brown recorded 43 yards and averaged 8.6 on the receiving end. Against the New York Giants, Brown continued the trend of 80 yards with an average of 13.3. Whereas Jalen Hurts secured 283 yards and 72.2% completion.

AJ Brown has struggled with securing yards this season, and after their win in week 7, he revealed the problem of not receiving enough passes. As the season moves forward, what once was a seamless rapport between star quarterback and star receiver now requires recalibration. In the midst of all these, the Eagles have decided on the wide receiver’s trade.

A blockbuster trade is the only option for a blockbuster player like AJ Brown

The Philadelphia Eagles confirm the team is not looking to trade him before the November 4 deadline.

“The Eagles would be willing to listen to any trade offer, but sources believe Philadelphia would not be willing to part with Brown for anything less than a blockbuster offer,” according to ESPN.

In the victory over the Minnesota Vikings, Brown had his strongest performance of the season on the field, hauling in four passes for 121 yards and two scores. He has made seven starts this season and received 29 passes for 395 yards and scored three touchdowns. Brown skipped practice and will miss the game against the New York Giants because of a hamstring injury.

Despite the injury and earlier inconsistencies, Philadelphia remains publicly committed to Brown’s presence and future. Jalen Hurts is accustomed to Brown’s social media rants over their four seasons together. The Eagles’ decision and the upcoming games after A.J. Browns’ return under Jeffrey Lurie’s guidance leave room for reconciliation.
