Coming off another spectacular win on Sunday, DeVonta Smith wasn’t just left worrying about their next game. Instead, by the time his team reached the post-game conference, a totally different issue had taken the Lincoln Financial Field by storm. In fact, things reached such a point that even Smith was hilariously forced to intervene.

Watch What’s Trending Now!

The “issue” started when the Philadelphia Eagles’ wide receiver’s fiancée, Mya Danielle, posted a video of herself from the sidelines of the Los Angeles Rams game. Sporting a gray suit top, short suit-style bottoms, black knee-high boots and a black Gucci Bag, the beauty influencer was seen strutting down the field when a security guard brushed past her to walk in the opposite direction. However, not even a second later, he quickly turned his head around and seemingly kept watching Danielle as she walked away. Expectedly, the clip went viral. “Security almost broke his neck checking out DeVonta Smith’s fiancée 😂,”a tweet read. And if that was not all, even Smith chimed in with his own ultimatum…

“Aye security better watch out 🤣🤣,” his comment, already with over 12,000 likes, on his fiancée’s original post reads.

To add to the hilarity, WNBA star Angel Reese couldn’t resist chiming in. “I understand Mr. security guard 🤏🏽🤭,” she commented.

What’s more, already known for his social media outbursts, former NFL wide receiver Antonio Brown soon followed.

Around half a day after the video surfaced, Brown shared it with his controversial “Cracker of the day” caption. As things stand, Smith hasn’t reacted to it yet.

Having said that, looks like he won’t anytime soon either. Fresh off the 33-26 win over the Rams, a 4-0 will definitely be the aim in Week 4 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, also 3-0 this season. Who will win? Well, the experts have already spoken.

In this race for NFC supremacy, ESPN places Eagles high with a 54.4% chance to beat the Bucs, while the latter get a 45.2% shot. Additionally, as per BetMGM Sportsbook sees Jalen Hurts’ team has emerged as a 3-point favorite in Week 4 odds; Eagles are -165 while Tampa sits at 140+. The Arizona Republic’s Jeremy Cluff, however, predicted, “While the Eagles are a 3-point favorite, something tells us that Tampa Bay will play inspired defense at home and spring the upset with a late field goal.”

If that’s the case, Smith, who’s currently at 15 receptions for 129 yards and one touchdown, has a lot of worrying to do on the gridiron. Especially with the Bucs dominating six of the last 10 games between them. So, while the wide receiver sticks to drumming up ways to make it count on the field, let’s look at how Mya Danielle is changing lives off it…

A jersey, a visit, and a moment that meant everything

Mya Danielle might look like she doesn’t have a care in the world on camera, but what she did off-camera showed just how kind and down to earth she really is.

On September 15, TikTok user @theresaschmus shared a moment that hit fans right in the feels. Her mom, Patty, who’s battling stage 4 ovarian cancer, was having a tough morning. Theresa messaged Mya on Instagram, hoping for a signed jersey. What happened next was pure kindness.

Within two hours, Mya showed up at the hospital herself. She brought the jersey, and a personal card from DeVonta. Patty, who had never owned a jersey or been to a game, was overwhelmed.

“He’s my favorite player,” she said, holding the gift close.

Theresa posted the video and wrote, “To Mya and DeVonta, we cannot thank you enough for bringing some light into a grim day.”

Patty even joked, “You can’t borrow it,” adding a sweet touch to an already emotional moment.
