NFL legend Seth Joyner, who spent eight years with the Philadelphia Eagles between 1986-93, gave an honest reaction to the Eagles’ latest defeat. After Philadelphia suffered a brutal 34-17 loss to the Giants, their second of the season, Joyner called out the coaching staff and especially head coach Nick Sirianni for the defeat.

“To say, I’m like, thoroughly disgusted and disappointed about what I see on the field,” Joyner said in the clip shared on X. “When you have operational issues the way that the Eagles do, that is nothing more than a coaching problem, okay? It’s up to the coaches to have the players ready to play,” the former Eagles player ranted on social media.
Joyner appeared upset over the Eagles and called out that the coaches should have had all the players ready during injuries or roster changes. He also pointed out the Eagles’ defensive tackle Jalen Carter’s injury, which ruled him out for the game. Moreover, the Eagles’ cornerback Quinyon Mitchell also suffered a hamstring injury during the game.

This is a travesty! Players the @Eagles have relied upon are playing their worse football! The OLine is being dominated, and the injuries and lack of athleticism on the edges are making #Dart look like #LamarJackson! Some of these issues has to be attributed to #COACHING!! pic.twitter.com/RxgJdpAW4E

And New York Giants rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart was able to exploit the Eagles’ defensive weaknesses. When it comes to offense, the Eagles are supposed to have the best offense with the running back Saquon Barkley, the wide receiver A.J. Brown. However, there are obvious cracks in the offense. In the last five games, the Eagles have had 267 rushing yards and are averaging only 3.2 yards per carry.

Giants running back Cam Skattebo powered in three rushing touchdowns, while Dart added one on the ground and another through the air. The team also pressured quarterback Jalen Hurts hard, sacking him three times and snagging an interception. Wide receiver Brian Burns got to Hurts twice, tying for the NFL lead with seven sacks on the season.
Speaking of his first interception this season, Hurts said, “I got to be better.” “Another opportunity to keep attacking them and capitalizing. I didn’t give him a good ball. It’s something that I own and something that I’m going to work on.”

There are issues with the offense, and one of the best players on the roster, Brown, hasn’t been the most impactful in the games. This soon led to another drama with Joyner.
What is the feud between AJ Brown and Seth Joyner?
AJ Brown had issues with the lack of targets. In the last six games, he recorded 14 receptions for 151 yards and 1 touchdown. So, after the win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, he seemingly expressed his frustration.
“If you’re not welcomed, not listened to, quietly withdraw,” he wrote an enigmatic message on X. Now, this was soon criticized by Joyner. The NFL legend has been watching the Eagles’ offense. And this wasn’t on a superstar level. The Eagles’ offense is the third-worst in the league, averaging only 261.6 yards per game.
Now, in response to Joyner’s criticism, the WR had a strong message. “@sethjoyner the audacity of you telling someone to do their job,” he wrote in a now-deleted post on X. “My stats every year backs that up that I’m doing mine. How about you do your job and call out the bs but you won’t because they’re paying you so you have to play along and be a good boy. These old heads can be trip boy …”

The drama continued after Joyner responded to a screenshot of Brown’s post on X. “Don’t delete what you say, stand on it,” he wrote. “And let’s talk about it! The audacity of the truth is what we’re dealing with! The TEAM is 4-0!”

However, the Eagles were quick to handle the drama. The WR also clarified that his remarks weren’t aimed at Nick Sirianni or Hurts. The Eagles have faced such challenges before and successfully overcome them, and even now, the team is taking the same approach. But it all comes down to how quickly they can adapt and address the offensive issues.
