Saquon Barkley is heading to his new home – the Philadelphia Eagles. Barkley, who was well-liked by fans, had earlier expressed his desire to remain with the New York Giants for his entire NFL career. However, his unexpected decision to join the Eagles, a team in the same division, on a three-year contract worth $37.75 million, surprised everyone.

His trade raised criticism in the NFL world lately, leading to a Giants and Eagles verbal war. Among many, a Giants fan, Shaun Morash, has reportedly a few harsh words for the Eagles’ faithful. In the latest segment of WFAN radio station, Shaun Morash joined the show hosts to talk about Saquon Barkley’s trade and his new home’s fans, the Eagles’ faithful.

In the show, Morash backlashed the Eagles fans, suggesting they are more vocal and passionate compared to fans and other teams. He expressed, “By the way, Eagles fans are morons. They are, they are by far.” When asked why he thinks so, Morash replied, “I’m gonna tell you right now, and I’m sorry, we all know football not to the degree some of the players do. They have come across as the biggest hypocritical whiny babies that don’t watch the sport outside of their team, moron fans than I’ve ever seen.”

The radio show host mentioned receiving numerous messages from Eagles fans, expressing their opinions about certain players. He highlighted some main points of contention, “Number one, well he won’t have that offensive line anymore. Interesting because when you bash Daniel Jones, you don’t mention the offensive line, Eagles fans but now it’s an excuse for Saquon because you got six months. So which is more convenient? Convenient that you’re leaving out when you know your Daniel Jones but the offensive line didn’t matter for him only for Saquon.”

On number two, he talked about the injury part of Barkley, that Eagles fans say he won’t get hurt anymore because he’ll be playing on a grass pitch, not one similar to the MetLife turf. Shaun highlighted, “He’s had three major leg injuries at Tampa Bay and ACL at Chicago and at Arizona, all three fields made of grass. What you play on, right? So stop with your own uneducated BS that Saquon Barkley got hurt because Grass was there. But that was on the road, too.”

He concluded with, “I’m sorry when it comes to football knowledge and actually doing your homework or flat out,” reflecting his thoughts of the Eagles’ fans only being concerned about the verbal battle. Morash emphasized that being loyal to one’s team is understandable, but it shouldn’t lead to ignorance or spreading information. Besides this, Morash took a dig at Barkley too, when the player’s daughter reportedly asked an unintentional trolling question.

When Saquon Barkley told his daughter, Jada Clare Barkley, that he was being drafted to the Eagles, his daughter came up with her first question, i.e. “Does that mean we’re going to win now?” This unintentional roast by the 5-year-old didn’t suit well with some Giants fans, such as with radio host, Shaun Morash. He retweeted Barkley’s video, where he was talking about his daughter’s first question, on his official X account. Morash replied to Jada’s curiosity, “Depends, will daddy continue to let balls go through his hands leading to interceptions?” That was indeed a clear dig at Barkley and a harsh reality check to the star.

Besides Morash, former running back Tiki Barber, who played his most of his NFL career with the Giants, took to social media too, slamming him by saying, “You’re dead to me.” However, Barkley shortly responded to this in a subtle and polite way, saying, “@TikiBarber lol yup you’re the prime example of loyalty to a team.” In another tweet, the athlete said, “To the Giants fans that were hurt by me leaving, I have nothing but respect for all those guys. For the last six years, they’ve been great to me and my family and created so many memories.

Nevertheless, despite the Giants being unhappy with this trade, Barkley is excited for his new journey with a new team, as he wanted to “prove it and show the world.” What do you think about the change for the RB? Let us know your thoughts below!
