The 42-year-old was a guest on a recent episode of the “Bust Life.” In the show, he accused NBA star LeBron James of planning a media campaign to boost his reputation as the best basketball player ever.

Brown, who was a teammate of Michael Jordan when he played for the Washington Wizards, openly criticized James. He believes that James’ control over the media has led to the perception of him as the greatest basketball player of all time, despite skepticism from other NBA players. According to Brown, “LeBron is the GOAT because LeBron controls the media. No NBA player genuinely considers him the GOAT.”

This statement didn’t sit well with LeBron James’ fans, as many criticized Kwame Brown for his comments. One fan, named “Smiley” shared this video clip on their official X account, and wrote: “Biggest bust in NBA history trying to stay relevant.” After some time, trolling this tweet, Eagles star CB Darius Slay replied to him, with his tweet: “Fam played 10yrs he can’t be a bust.” This happened soon after he backed fake AJ Brown’s tweet.

This recent incident regarding Darius Slay and Brown created a buzz among the NBA and NFL world, with many speculating that Slay might be backing up Brown. However, no further reports have come out, claiming his side on either of the two. And some positive thinkers are viewing it as a general statement of respecting Brown.

However, besides Darius Slay, former tight end, Shannon Sharpe, too, commented on the controversy. And unlike Slay, he defended LeBron James.
