Detective mode: on, as the Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver – Xavier Worthy, drops a cryptic message bomb on the Chiefs Kingdom. A vague but intriguing message has sent fans into a frenzy. It’s about “motion,” and everyone’s wondering – whether this is about football, his personal life, or something entirely different. Turns out the answer is related to another Chiefs WR – JuJu Smith.

“Update: It got some motion going.” This is what Xavier posted on his Instagram story with an image of himself, head down and a hand covering his face – like the reaction you have when you send a risky text. The “motion” he was referring to wasn’t just an Instagram aesthetic – it was a reaction to something big.

To know the context of his cryptic update story, you have to look at what he posted just a few hours before that. He shared a throwback clip of JuJu Smith-Schuster’s touchdown against the Atlanta Falcons, which the Chiefs had originally posted. The clip shows Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes getting stuck in the pocket but still managing to pass the ball to JuJu, who took it to the end zone.

The Chiefs labeled the post as MORE JUJU and captioned it: “Wishing you a very happy #TouchdownTuesday courtesy of JuJu.” But this wasn’t just a nostalgia trip – the post was to celebrate the return of JuJu to the Chiefs.

He signed a one-year deal for $10.75 million. JuJu is a Pro Bowler and had 18 catches, 231 yards, and two touchdowns last season with the Chiefs. The 28-year-old celebrated by posting a video on his social media saying, “Let’s run it back, baby!” But this signing comes right after Xavier, who is also a WR and was the Chiefs’ first-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, was accused of physically assaulting his wife.

What are the allegations against Xavier Worthy?

Xavier Worthy is currently on a four-year and $13.8 million deal with the Chiefs. But he was recently arrested for allegedly physically assaulting his former fiancé, Tia Jones. Reports state that Jones claimed Xavier grabbed her throat with both hands and shook her during a Valentine’s Day argument over his alleged infidelity.

But it didn’t stop there, as Jones also reported that the most recent incident took place on March 7. This ultimately led to Xavier’s arrest on charges of assault. The court granted her a temporary protective order, which will remain in place until the next hearing on April 1.

Xavier has denied all the allegations, and his lawyer, Sam Bassett, defended his client, claiming that Jones had stolen things from his client’s residence when he was in Jail but had returned some of them. However, Jones’ attorney – Angelica Cogliano, stated, “Unfortunately, false allegations continue to be made, this time in civil court.” Moreoverthe Chiefs and the NFL released statements that they are aware of the situation and are in fact-finding mode.

Seems like a crucial moment in Xavier’s life. All eyes are on him. Not just for his plays on the field but also for the storm brewing off it. His cryptic Instagram update had everyone speculating about roster moves. But with the next court hearing on the horizon – Xavier’s future seems uncertain.
