The 49ers RB McCaffrey appeared on the Let’s Go podcast hosted by Tom Brady, Larry Fitzgerald, and Jim Gray and shared his thoughts on winning an MVP trophy.

When asked about winning an MVP trophy, McCaffrey said, “I just think even being in the conversation is an honor and specifically for that reason and the timing of it with, you know, running backs and, and some of the stuff. And I think when you look at the history of the NFL and running backs. Where we’re at now, every position. Other than a couple at some point has kind of had their dips.

Following this, Tom Brady shared his thoughts on winning an MVP award and a Super Bowl ring. Brady said, “Celebrating the success with other players and the best moments weren’t accepting a trophy in MVP trophy was accepting a Super Bowl ring with, you know, all the people that played a part of that journey that out to the senior leadership on the team, the owners, the fans, the families, you know, that’s why we got into this game.” In the current season, McCaffrey has been displaying his A-Game, potentially leading his team to a Super Bowl victory.

The 49ers’ running back has scored 1,292 rushing and 509 receiving yards in this season. Moreover, he is the fourth player to score 1,000 rushing and 500 receiving yards in four or more seasons in his career. Adding to his achievements, since keeping his foot in the NFL landscape, McCaffrey scored 6,018 rushing and 4,265 receiving yards.
