“Alabama QB Jalen Milroe has accepted an invitation to attend the 2025 NFL Draft in Green Bay.” A reporter dropped this bomb in the NFL’s drafting scenario. The invitation makes it clear that Jalen Milroe of Alabama is going to be drafted on day 1. Many great college players do not attend the draft day to avoid the humiliation if they don’t get drafted on day one. But in Milroe’s case, it’s different.

And while he is preparing for day one of NFL drafts on April 24, a former NFL QB, Dan Orlovsky, has a surprise for everyone. Although Mike Tomlin‘s Steelers are interested in Milroe, Dan Orlovsky’s analysis includes the New York Giants. And hold on, he also has an ideal scenario and three points to substitute why he thinks so.

During an NFL on ESPN, Dan Orlovsky said, “If I could pick one team for Jalen Milroe, it would be the New York Giants in the 2nd round. This would be the ideal situation.” And then he also gave three reasons why he thinks this way. He further added, “Number one, Brian Daboll’s Alabama ties.” The 49-year-old Giants HC was an offensive coordinator and quarterback’s coach. With these deep ties, knowing more about any player gets easier. It’s a privilege in that sense because Daboll can understand which culture Milroe is coming from if they draft him in the squad of Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston.

Getting back to Orlovsky’s comments, he has added more. The 41-year-old analyst said, “I remember hearing Nick Saban talk about Milroe and said, ‘this guy changes the game.’” Adding the 2nd reason, he said, “Number two, Mel hit it. The impact he had with Josh Allen. But mainly the quarterback run. And that gets me to point three, which is desperation. They are desperate.” That’s clear. The Giants are actually looking for a younger QB who will last for more years. And that is also under the guidance of Russell Wilson and Winston in the first rookie year.

Moreover, the Giants have the third pick in their hand, and it would be a bold decision when everybody is expecting Shedeur Sanders to land in Daboll’s team. Well, the picture will get crystal clear on April 24. But till then, updates around Milroe are catching breaks. In the latest update, Milroe is set to meet with three NFL franchises.

Jalen Milroe has arrived!

As we have already discussed, the Giants are obviously a top contender in having an interest in Jalen Milroe. But which are those two other teams? According to reports, the Seahawks and the Rams are two other interested teams, along with the Giants. Interestingly, Milroe has also shown some interest by accepting the invitation to visit their facilities. Even the Seahawks and Rams have Sam Darnold and Matthew Stafford, respectively; they both are eyeing a most reliable young QB.

But before he met these three franchises, Milroe had already met the Jets before the Alabama Pro Day. He also had dinner with Mike Tomlin and the Steelers staff. The New Orleans Saints and the Cleveland Browns also invited Jalen for private workouts. Jalen Milroe has shown his worth in the college day itself, so he is expected to get drafted in the 1st round or the 2nd at the most.

In the 2024 season, the Alabama QB has landed 16 touchdowns. And that too after passing for 2,844 yards and after completing 209 out of 319 passes he made with a completion percentage of 64.3%. The quarterback looked massive at the Pro Day, as well. Let’s see which team is gonna draft Jalen Milroe.
