In the 2019 NFL Draft, the Pittsburgh Steelers selected linebacker Devin Bush out of Michigan in the 10th overall. He was later signed as an unrestricted free agent by the Seattle Seahawks in March 2023, before again moving to the Cleveland Browns the next year. But now, a new update has come that might hamper the LB’s NFL future.

According to Dov Kleiman on X, “Browns LB Devin Bush was arrested today on charges of assault and harassment. Bush is only 26 years old and a former Steelers 1st round draft pick.” The NFL insider also attached the court documents to his tweet, giving all the details of the case.

That list included Bush’s arrest date, which is May 4, 2025, in Pennsylvania, and the arresting officer’s name, Michael B. Vihanic, as well. In addition, the reports said, the Browns linebacker is dealing with a M2 Grade misdemeanor assault charge and an S Grade harassment offense. Details are still scarce.

With that linebacker room already packed in Cleveland (with nine LBs), this legal trouble might end up costing Devin Bush more than just a fine. However, the franchise has said nothing about this arrest till Sunday.

Nevertheless, the major highlight is that this year, the Browns extended him on a one-year deal, giving him a chance after some tumultuous years in the league.

Devin Bush’s journey from Steelers to Cleveland

Devin Bush came into the league with big expectations. The Steelers believed in him so much, they traded up to grab him at No. 10 in 2019. He flashed early, showing signs of being a game-changer. He had his best season in his rookie year, recording 109 tackles, nine tackles for loss, four passes defensed, and 2 INTs. But that rookie spark faded fast after a tough knee injury.
