In an exclusive chat with EssentiallySports, Jordan Mailata revealed what the sports fans could expect from the Australian NRL Telstra Premiership season on March 2, 2024. Eagles OT shared his expectations from the upcoming season, expressing a hope that American viewers, unfamiliar with rugby league, will find it refreshing. He emphasized the physical and tough nature of the sport, noting similarities to the NFL with downs and scoring ties.

Mailata said, “That might be the first kind that they ever see. There’s a lot to relate to the NFL with. We have about five, five or five downs to get to the score try, but our downs don’t restart. So, there’s a lot of carryover from football and NRL. So we’ll see what happens, but I’m expecting a lot of physicality, a lot of explosive plays, and just the boys doing what the boys do, man. So it’ll be good.”
Mailata, who is involved in the season-opening header stated that the rugby league is going to debut in America and that too, in the host city of the Super Bowl LVIII, Las Vegas at Allegiant Stadium. Considering the trailer video of the rugby league, it promises to be exciting for the sports fans out there.
