Now, the 22-year-old has picked up the mantle to get past the 2K mark. “I want 2,000 yards rushing”, said Robinson to the media earlier this month. The running back registered 976 yards, highly impressive for the debutant, but he isn’t satisfied.

In the history of the NFL, only 8 players have been able to break the 2000-yard barrier. The RB O.J. Simpson was the first one to do so in 1973 with 2,003 yards in a 14-game season. And next to get in the club was Eric Dickerson in 1983. He holds the record for most rushing yards with 2,105.

The only active player to get past the 2000-yard mark and the eighth ever to do so, is the Tennessee Titans’ RB Derrick Henry in the 2020 season, with 2,027 yards to his name. While Hill became the rushing yards leader last season, he too wouldn’t be satisfied with that. Just like the youngster Robinson.
