During an interview with the media, Dan Campbell delved into the role of tight ends in the current football landscape. He emphasized their rarity and value, stating, “When you have a guy that can do multiple jobs and do them well, those guys are hard to find.” Focusing on George Kittle’s upcoming opposition, Campbell lauded his comprehensive skill set while revealing reasons he’s a formidable opponent.

“I got a lot of respect for the way he plays game man. He’s high energy, he does it all. He’s an aggressive blocker, strong, physical, good in pass protection,” he said. While also acknowledging the presence of premier tight ends like Kittle and Travis Kelce in the teams, Campbell suggested a correlation between their skills and team success. Additionally, he conveyed confidence in his own tight end.

Under Campbell’s direction, the Lions broke several franchise records. They achieved their highest number of wins in a season, including playoffs, with 14 victories. Furthermore, the team has secured their first divisional title since 1993.
