Before we get into the start, sit recommendations. Here’s a table breaking down how many points each team gives up to each position group, and where that ranks across the league.

The Packers’ defense is about average in every category. They’re not giving up massive games to any one position group (outside of tight end), but they’re also not great against any specific position. However, their offense has been very consistent and scores a lot of points, so it’s not wise to start whichever defense they’re facing.

The Steelers have been surprisingly poor against the pass this season, giving up the fifth-most points to quarterbacks and the sixth-most points to wide receivers this year. Their run defense has been very stout, though, so keep that in mind when setting your lineup.

Best Starts

Jordan Love, QB, Green Bay Packers

While this game will be all about Rodgers, his replacement, Jordan Love, is the QB to start in this game. Neither defense has been particularly great against the pass this season, but the Steelers have been one of the worst pass defenses in the league. Love and the Packers should throw the ball all over the field tonight and find very little resistance.

Tucker Kraft, TE, Green Bay Packers

Tucker Kraft has been a pleasant surprise for fantasy owners. He’s emerged as Love’s favorite target, and this week he plays a Steelers team that has given up a ton of points to opposing tight ends. Kraft doesn’t have much competition at the position, with Luke Musgrave having just six targets this year. If you weren’t already starting him, I’d make that change ASAP.

Aaron Rodgers, QB, Pittsburgh Steelers

You really thought I wasn’t going to put Rodgers on this list in his revenge game? The Packers have a really good defense and an excellent pass rush, which aren’t great for fantasy, but you can’t underestimate the emotions in this game. Regardless of what Rodgers says, he wants to beat the hell out of the Packers on Sunday night. I expect him to make some magic happen, so if you have a QB controversy, start Rodgers.

Best Sits

Josh Jacobs, RB, Green Bay Packers

There are a lot of reasons to sit Josh Jacobs this week. First, he’s facing one of the best run defenses in football in the Steelers. Second, he’s managing a calf injury that could directly impact his performance. On top of that, I think this game will be fairly high scoring, so a lot of the work for both offenses will come through the air.

Jaylen Warren, RB, Pittsburgh Steelers

I would also sit the Steelers’ starting running back, Jaylen Warren. Run defense is one of the Packers’ strengths, and like I said a second ago, I think this is going to be a pass-heavy game. Rodgers is going to want to show the Packers he’s still got it, and the Packers are going to score quite a bit. If you have another option, I’d bench Warren.

Both Defenses

I would also sit both defenses, for many of the same reasons as the running backs. This is going to be an air raid, and I see both of these teams putting a lot of points on the board. Plus, opposing defenses average three and four points against the Packers and Steelers, respectively, so that doesn’t help.
