32. Cooper Rush, Baltimore Ravens
Last Week: 32
Cooper Rush and the Baltimore Ravens had a bye week, which probably worked in his favor because he couldn’t do any more damage to his resume. There was hope Lamar Jackson would be back after the bye, but he didn’t practice on Monday, so it’s unclear if he’ll play this week.

Stats: 303 yards, 4 INT
Key Starters Injured: Ronnie Stanley, Lamar Jackson, Patrick Ricard
31. Justin Fields, New York Jets
Last Week: 31

Justin Fields is lucky Cooper Rush is the Ravens’ starter right now, because otherwise he’d be dead last. The guy just can’t throw a football or read a defense, and if it weren’t for his rushing ability, he would’ve been out of the league years ago. He might not even be the starter next week, but that decision’s yet to be made.
Stats: 845 yards, 257 rushing yards, 7 total TD
Key Starters Injured: Braelon Allen, Alijah Vera-Tucker
30. Geno Smith, Las Vegas Raiders

Last Week: 30
Geno Smith might’ve had one of the worst games I’ve ever seen a quarterback play. He threw for 67 yards and didn’t complete a single pass for nearly two quarters. He’s just fallen off a cliff since leaving Seattle, and probably deserves to be lower, but Fields and Rush are worse.
Stats: 1,417, 7 TD, 10 INT
Key Starters Injured: Brock Bowers, Jakobi Meyers
29. Dillon Gabriel, Cleveland Browns
Last Week: 29
Dillon Gabriel didn’t have a bad game; he just didn’t have any opportunities. He threw for just over 100 yards, but only had 16 attempts. The Cleveland Browns as a whole hardly eclipsed 200 yards despite scoring 31 points. It was just a weird game, but I won’t punish him for it.
Stats: 546 yards, 3 TD
Key Starters Injured: Cedric Tillman, Dawand Jones, David Njoku
28. Tua Tagovailoa, Miami Dolphins
Last Week: 25
Tua Tagovailoa has just flat-out not been good this season. The only thing saving him from being lower on this list is his 11 touchdown passes, but it’s hard to ignore that he’s tied for the league lead with 10 interceptions. I know Tyreek Hill is out, but he still has much better weapons than anyone else around him on this list.
Stats: 1,313 yards, 11 TD, 10 INT
Key Starters Injured: Liam Eichenberg, Tyreek Hill, Darren Waller
27. Cam Ward, Tennessee Titans
Last Week: 28
Cam Ward played arguably the best game of his career, but still only scored 13 points. He made some exciting throws, but he just doesn’t have the playmakers around him to succeed in year one. Still, I think he’s got what it takes to be a good quarterback in the right situation.
Stats: 1,356 yards, 4 TD, 5 INT
Key Starters Injured: Calvin Ridley, Bryce Oliver
26. Spencer Rattler, New Orleans Saints

via Imago
Credits-Michael C Herbert| New Orleans Saints
Last Week: 24
Spencer Rattler has been solid this season, but he really stunk it up this past week. After taking care of the ball all year long, he turned the ball over four times and missed on multiple throws. He’s had some high highs, but some seriously low lows this year.
Stats: 1,450 yards, 155 rushing yards, 8 TD, 4 INT
Key Starters Injured: Bub Means, Kendre Miller, Erik McCoy
25. Jacoby Brissett, Arizona Cardinals
Last Week: NR
Jacoby Brissett has stepped in for an injured Kyler Murray and has played pretty well. He’s kept the Arizona Cardinals competitive and nearly knocked off Green Bay this past week. I need to see him do it a few more times before putting him any higher, but he’s playing pretty well right now.
Stats: 599 yards, 4 TD, INT
Key Starters Injured: Kyler Murray, Emari Demercado, Trey Benson, James Conner
24. Carson Wentz, Minnesota Vikings
Last Week: 22
Carson Wentz wasn’t playing bad football in place of J.J. McCarthy, but he turned the ball over twice last week, and it potentially cost them the game. He’s a fine stopgap, but I think the Vikings are hoping McCarthy can come back sooner rather than later.
Stats: 1,072 yards, 5 TD, 4 INT
Key Starters Injured: J.J. McCarthy, Aaron Jones, Rondale Moore.
23. Joe Flacco, Cincinnati Bengals
Last Week: 27
Joe Flacco seems rejuvenated since joining the Cincinnati Bengals, and he just had by far his best game of the season, throwing for 300+ yards and three scores. He leaps four spots in our rankings, but if he keeps this up, he should continue to climb.
Stats: 1,376 yards, 7 TD, 6 INT
Key Starters Injured: Joe Burrow, Mike Gesicki.
22. Michael Penix Jr., Atlanta Falcons

Source: @themp9 on Instagram
Last Week: 20
Michael Penix had a great performance two weeks ago, where his entire arsenal was on display, but he was completely shut down this week against a banged-up San Francisco 49ers defense. He showcased his arm talent multiple times, but when the team needed him the most, he couldn’t come through.
Stats: 1,409 yards, 5 TD, 3 INT
Key Starters Injured: N/A
21. C.J. Stroud, Houston Texans
Last Week: 19
Top Stories
I think it’s time to finally put all preconceived notions aside from his rookie season and just say it how it is: C.J. Stroud is an average quarterback. I know his offensive line isn’t great, and he doesn’t make a ton of mistakes, but he just doesn’t do anything for me. I don’t think he’s particularly special in any area, so right now, I have him as the 21st-best quarterback in the NFL.
Stats: 1,305 yards, 9 TD, 4 INT
Key Starters Injured: Nico Collins, Tank Dell.
20. Jaxson Dart, New York Giants
Last Week: 21
Jaxson Dart is playing some exciting football and had a pretty good day against a really good Denver Broncos defense. Even when Denver had all the momentum on their side, Dart drove the Giants down the field for what should’ve been a game-winning touchdown, but his kicker missed the PAT, and defense couldn’t get a stop with 30 seconds on the clock. Dart’s been playing great football, and probably should be higher, but there are a lot of great quarterbacks this year.
Stats: 791 yards, 178 rushing yards, 10 total TD, 3 INT
Key Starters Injured: Malik Nabers, Darius Slayton
19. Bryce Young, Carolina Panthers
Last Week: 23
I know Bryce Young didn’t have the best game last week, but he’s been really impressive this season, and I think I under-ranked him last week, so this is a make right.. They finally got him a true WR1, and he’s reaping the benefits. He’s not making many mistakes, and the Carolina Panthers look competent for the first time in years.
Stats: 1,288 yards, 11 TD, 5 INT
Key Starters Injured: Robert Hunt, Chandler Zavala
18. Trevor Lawrence, Jacksonville Jaguars

Last Week: 16
Want to talk about an average quarterback? Let’s talk about Trevor Lawrence. You can tell he has so much talent in him, but he just isn’t consistent enough to be talked about as a top 15 quarterback.
Stats: 1,620 yards, 113 rushing yards, 11 total TD, 5 INT
Key Starters Injured: Tim Patrick, Brenton Strange
17. Aaron Rodgers, Pittsburgh Steelers
Last Week: 18
Aaron Rodgers can still make throws that make your jaw drop, but you can tell he’s aging. Still, he’s exactly what the Pittsburgh Steelers needed at quarterback; someone who doesn’t make many mistakes, but will still take and connect on some shots downfield. Plus, he’s tied for fifth in touchdown passes, which is pretty impressive.
Stats: 1,270 yards, 14 TD, 5 INT
Key Starters Injured: Calvin Austin III, Donald Parham Jr.
16. Mac Jones, San Francisco 49ers
Last Week: 12
Mac Jones has cooled off significantly since his red-hot start to the season. He hasn’t thrown for a touchdown and has three interceptions in his last two games. The experiment was fun while it lasted, but the 49ers need Brock Purdy back.
Stats: 1,404 yards, 6 TD, 4 INT
Key Starters Injured: Brock Purdy, Ricky Pearsall, Brandon Aiyuk.
15. Caleb Williams, Chicago Bears
Last Week: 15
Caleb Williams has certainly taken a step forward in year two, but he didn’t play all that well against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday, throwing for 172 yards and a pick, but that was slightly due to some inclement weather, so I’ll give him the pass and keep him at 15.
Stats: 1,351 yards, 106 rushing yards, 11 total TD, 3 INT
Key Starters Injured: Cole Kmet
14. Jayden Daniels, Washington Commanders

via Imago

Last Week: 13
Jayden Daniels has been battling through injuries this season, and he’s been without his top wideout for most of the year. He’s not making mistakes, but he hasn’t made the big plays we became accustomed to seeing last year. Still, he’s playing like a top 15 quarterback this year.
Stats: 1,031 yards, 211 rushing yards, 9 total TD, INT
Key Starters Injured: Terry McLaurin, Deebo Samuel Sr., Austin Ekeler
13. Jordan Love, Green Bay Packers
Last Week: 9
Jordan Love is playing great football this year, but he’s not in that elite category quite yet. Everyone wants him to be an MVP frontrunner, but he’s just not, and that’s okay. He’s not playing badly at all; he’s just not playing as well as some of the others.
Stats: 1,438 yards, 110 rushing yards, 10 TD, 2 INT
Key Starters Injured: Christian Watson, Jayden Reed
12. Jalen Hurts, Philadelphia Eagles
Last Week: 17
I have to give Jalen Hurts his flowers; he played really well this past weekend and the Eagles’ offense finally started to click. I still don’t think he’s a great quarterback, but all that matters is how he’s playing within the system they built around him. And right now, he’s playing pretty well.
Stats: 1,498 yards, 185 rushing yards, 16 total TD, INT
Key Starters Injured: Johnny Wilson
11. Bo Nix, Denver Broncos
Last Week: 14
Bo Nix is like Justin Fields in the fact that he gets a lot of his stats in the fourth quarter, but instead of it coming when his team is down by 20 and completely out of the game, it comes as he’s leading his team back to victory. Nix is starting to find his stride in his sophomore season, but just misses out on the top 10.
Stats: 1,556 passing yards, 172 rushing yards, 14 total TD, 4 INT
Key Starters Injured: N/A
10. Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills

Last Week: 6
I still believe Josh Allen is the most gifted quarterback in the league, but right now, he’s not playing completely up to his standard. He’s still been great, don’t get me wrong, but I think I overrated him last week, so I’m adjusting for it after his bye.
Stats: 1,397 yards, 254 rushing yards, 14 total TD, 4 INT
Key Starters Injured: Curtis Samuel, Dalton Kincaid
9. Sam Darnold, Seattle Seahawks
Last Week: 8
Sam Darnold didn’t have his best game this week, but he played a very tough Houston Texans defense, and he didn’t really have to do too much for the Seahawks to get a win on Monday night. That said, he’s still playing like a top 10 QB in football right now, so he earns the No. 9 spot in our rankings.
Stats: 1,754 yards, 12 TD, 4 INT
Key Starters Injured: N/A
8. Daniel Jones, Indianapolis Colts
Last Week: 11
Daniel Jones is not a more talented quarterback than Josh Allen, but right now, he’s playing better football and is leading the No. 1 team in our power rankings. He’s quick with his decisions, and he’s not hesitating to throw the ball downfield, and he’s also not making any costly mistakes. Shane Steichen is working wonders with him right now, and I hope they can keep it up all year.
Stats: 1,790 yards, 83 rushing yards, 14 total TD, 3 INT
Key Starters Injured: Josh Downs
7. Justin Herbert, Los Angeles Chargers
Last Week: 10
It’s hard to put the NFL’s passing leader at No. 7, but that just goes to show you how much great quarterback play we’re seeing this season. Justin Herbert’s year has been heavily affected by injuries all across the offense, but he’s still putting up numbers. He has turned the ball over a little too much for my liking, though, but he still finds himself in the top 10.
Stats: 1,913 yards, 186 rushing yards, 13 TD, 6 INT
Key Starters Injured: Rashawn Slater, Joe Alt, Omarion Hampton, Najee Harris.
6. Jared Goff, Detroit Lions

Last Week: 5
Much like Darnold, Jared Goff also didn’t have his best game this weekend, but he didn’t need to because Jahmyr Gibbs took the game over on the ground. He no longer leads the league in passing touchdowns, but 1,600 yards and 15 TDs in seven games is still mighty impressive.
Stats: 1,631 yards, 15 TD, 3 INT
Key Starters Injured: N/A
5. Drake Maye, New England Patriots
Last Week: 7
I just love watching Drake Maye play football. He’s taken such a big stride since his rookie season, and he has completely deserved his top-five ranking. He’s outplaying guys that have been in this league for a long time, and he’s doing it with the fewest weapons of anyone in the top 10.
Stats: 1,744 yards, 200 rushing yards, 14 total TD, 2 INT
Key Starters Injured: Antonio Gibson
4. Baker Mayfield, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Last Week: 1
Baker Mayfield falls from his top spot, but that’s not really due to any fault of his own. His top four receivers and best running back are banged up, and because of that, he really struggled against the Detroit Lions. I will say his accuracy was a bit off on Monday night, but I’m not too worried about it moving forward.
Stats: 1,767 yards, 13 TD, 2 INT
Key Starters Injured: Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, Jalen McMillan, Bucky Irving
3. Matthew Stafford, Los Angeles Rams
Last Week: 3
You could put these top three guys in any order, and I wouldn’t be mad at it. They should all be neck-and-neck in MVP voting through seven weeks, but for now, I have Matthew Stafford at No. 3. Yes, he threw five touchdowns this past weekend, but there are two other guys I think are playing just a touch better than him.
Stats: 1,866 yards, 17 TD, 2 INT
Key Starters Injured: Puka Nacua, Rob Havenstein.
2. Dak Prescott, Dallas Cowboys

Last Week: 4
Dak Prescott would be my MVP favorite if it weren’t for the next guy on this list. He’s playing out of his mind right now, and a large majority of his production came without CeeDee Lamb on the field. Now that he’s back, Prescott should be able to keep on building his MVP resume.
Stats: 1,881 yards, 16 TD, 3 INT
Key Starters Injured: Jonathan Mingo, Miles Sanders
1. Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs
Last Week: 2
Vintage Patrick Mahomesis back. It’s been a few years since we’ve seen him really put the Kansas City Chiefs on his back and carry them, but that’s what he’s doing right now. He has over 2,000 yards of offense and leads the league with 18 total touchdowns. Nobody is playing better football than Mahomes right now.
Stats: 1,800 yards, 250 rushing yards, 18 total TD, 2 INT
Key Starters Injured: Josh Simmons, Jawaan Taylor, Trey Smith

There are so many quarterbacks playing at a high level that these rankings will continue to change week-to-week. Patrick Mahomes could be top dog today, but come next week, who knows who will occupy the top spot?
