The Raiders have been witnessing some corrective measures in the past two days. First, it was the sacking of HC Josh McDaniels and GM Dave Ziegler. Now, there are rumors around their QB1, Jimmy Garoppolo. The Raiders are taking the harshest steps to revamp the team without thinking twice. Garoppolo is caught in the storm after the team lost to the Detroit Lions, and everything went haywire.
A post from ProFootballTalk gives a bigger picture about Garoppolo’s future with the Raiders. It’s safe to say that it doesn’t look good now. The Raiders are acting as if they are walking on a minefield, where anything could go wrong instantly.

Jimmy Garoppolo is in trouble
The post talks about Garoppolo’s injury guarantees for 2024. Apparently, he has $11.25 million in injury guarantees that the Raiders are afraid to cash. The thing is that the amount is only payable in case the QB1 sustains any injury. So far, he has not, and the Raiders’ money is safe.
So, what did they do to have a shot at saving some cash? They benched Jimmy Garoppolo before he could get injured. However, it doesn’t mean he would not have access to the Raiders facility. If the Raiders really want to bench him, they should look at trading him to the Vikings before anything happens to Garoppolo.
With $11.25 million in injury guarantees for 2024, it makes plenty of sense for the Raiders to cut benched QB Jimmy Garoppolo, before he gets injured in the weight room or at practice. https://t.co/lBjBGiPOAq

Speaking of Vikings, Kirk Cousins has suffered a season-ending injury and will not return soon. There are some rumors in the town about Garoppolo, and he might just pack his bags and leave for Valhalla. This way, if he gets injured, the Raiders will not be liable to pay anything to Garoppolo. But what if anything happens to the QB1 before he leaves the franchise? Well, maybe then the QB1 keeps the $11.25 million he was promised. However, by the looks of it, the Raiders will not let that happen.
If the Las Vegas Raiders and Jimmy Garoppolo part ways ,a team to watch could be the Minnesota Vikings.

Speaking of changes, the Raiders have been quick at switching pieces. But the one man they won’t let go is Davante Adams, and it is hurting his career.

A bad omen for the team?
The team looks to be in terrible shape, at least for Davante Adams, who could not do much despite his status as a veteran. Jimmy Garoppolo hasn’t been able to help the WR1 shine, and the Raiders are not using Adams to the best of his abilities. Coincidentally, the Raiders are repeating history by doing to Garoppolo what they did to Derek Carr. Carr was why the WR1 joined the Raiders, and they sacked him in the blink of an eye.

Fans and the NFL sympathize with Davante Adams for being stuck with such a management. Everyone thinks Adams cannot be his true self because the team won’t allow him to. Also, people like Josh Jacobs seem to have completely given up on the team and have no enthusiasm for the future game.

It seems like the Raiders have destroyed everything around them, and it’s too late in the season to fix any of this.
