The world is witnessing a different side of Patrick Mahomes after the Kansas City Chiefs gave away a few key games. The Raiders — a team in shambles operating under an interim head coach — beat them. Since then, Mahomes has become the bread and butter of every sports talk show. He has reflected on his mistakes and knows where he went wrong and what to do to fix these shortcomings.

Andy Reid said he and the team are due for much shadow work before considering playing against the Bengals. Now, Mahomes addressed the loss publicly in the same presser. Hopefully, he has some strong takeaways from the embarrassing loss, and they emerge as divisional champions, at the very least. Thankfully, Mahomes has four of them.

Patrick Mahomes takes invaluable lessons from the Raiders’ upset
When the QB stepped on the podium, he was asked a question that put him on the spot. Not to mention that every Chiefs’ follower would need answers from their head honcho. The gist of the conversation is that Mahomes feels he needs to do better personally and, as a unit, read the ground and learn from mistakes. Not to mention how he and the team need to be well-prepared before battling the Bengals.

“I think we just got to be better. Um, as a unit, I got to play better, read the field better, and learn from mistakes, and uh, you get to be better this next week because we got a great game with a great team coming up,” said Mahomes.

The Chiefs need to address many underlying issues before taking on the Bengals, who are desperate for a win. Will we see a rejuvenated Chiefs team in the New Year’s game? If we don’t, the team can kiss their Super Bowl dreams goodbye because they cannot afford to repeat the same mistakes.

Chiefs’ flaws finally catching up to them
Throughout the season, we’ve seen the Chiefs’ receivers dropping catches, Patrick Mahomes throwing more picks than ever, and a rampant lack of communication. The Raiders’ CB Jack Jones had a pick-six from Mahomes and taunted him on his way to the touchdown. The Raiders, at one point, were a team that everyone thought had collapsed, but they won against the Super Bowl champs. Times have changed!

Besides this, the Chiefs ran some silly plays. It was when Patrick Mahomes fumbled the ball, and the Raiders took it to the end zone for a TD. It was that Jack Jones went by Patrick Mahomes, and he didn’t even try to stop him. Also, Harrison Butker missing two FGs shows that the Chiefs have lost the ability to make crisp plays. The Chiefs have lost the last three of their four games, and at this point, there is no option but to win the remaining two games.
