In 2023, just like all the other Jets fans, even the hip-hop artist Method Man was elated. The NY Jets had collaborated for the hype video. His heart broke when Aaron Rodgers got injured and was ruled out of the season. Well, in 2024, the long-time Jets season ticket holder was pumped up again when Davante Adams came in. Talking to Emmy and NABJ award-winning journalist Josina Anderson on the December 19 episode of The Exhibit show, Method Man praised the WR. While calling him a true teammate, he said, “I have a feeling if he (Rodgers) leaves, Davante is going to go with him and I would love to keep Davante. Dude is a teammate, in my opinion. Like whatever team he plays, he’s going all out and he’s in all out and all in, so I love the guy.” That’s right.

Now that was a shot at the owner, Woody Johnson. The leaked report by the Athletic claimed the owner often consulted his sons, Brick and Jack, to make management decisions. It was a bombshell. There were other claims that Jonson often checks any player’s rating in the video Madden NFL before going for a trade.
