Let’s admit the truth—no one wants to see a strong woman cry. Especially not someone who knows sports inside and out. We’re talking about sports commentator Erin Andrews. Fans tuning in to the May 22 episode of the Calm Down with Erin and Charissa podcast were stunned to see tears rolling down her face. Her eyes looked helpless. But what happened to leave her in such despair?
A miscarriage. Andrews revealed that her surrogate had suffered a miscarriage, ending her hopes of a second child, for now. Despite the emotional weight of the episode, podcast producer Ryan Musick handled the moment with professionalism and empathy.
“We got some real s—– news today that our surrogate had a miscarriage,” she began, sharing the heartbreaking update. She also revealed that her first surrogate had suffered a miscarriage as well. This is not new territory for her. With their second surrogate, Erin and her husband, Jarret Stoll, welcomed their son Mack in 2023.
