Super Bowl LIX is upon us. Saints owner Gayle Benson lit up St. Louis Cathedral to welcome the NFL in the town. Even the POTUS Donald Trump is coming to watch the big game. So, the hype and the excitement are at their peak. For the millions of female fans of the game, two of the most coveted reporters and best friends, ESPN’s Erin Andrews and Amazon’s Charissa Thompson, are also in town.

As soon as Thompson entered the stadium to cover the preparations, she was surrounded by other reporters. Everyone was curious about their Super Bowl tradition. So, she revealed, “I stand there and I watch her do her first hit and then we just sort of you know have that very proud moment that we’ve been lucky enough to do this job but get to do it together and with everybody that we work with.” That’s sweet.

Her friend Erin Andrews approved her comments. She also reposted the video in her IG story with a 4-word message, “Love you baby girl.” They have been in the game for almost 2 decades now. Andrews started her career as a freelance reporter in 2000, eventually landing in ESPN in 2004. She started covering football in 2005.
