During the post-game Amazon broadcast, Jaxson Dart dared Ryan Fitzpatrick to take off his shirt, telling him that Cam would follow suit. At one point, the crowd’s chant of Skattebo’s name got so loud, Charissa said you couldn’t even hear him talk. Whitworth’s clips and the live broadcast showed Skattebo soaking it all in with pure energy. Thompson’s quick comment said it all. It was a night the crew won’t forget anytime soon.
Skattebo’s big plays and post-game swagger made headlines. But former Giants safety turned analyst Ryan Clark shared a wild story from Skattebo’s college days. It added a quirky new chapter to his NFL legend.

Ryan Clark’s wild Cam Skattebo story
Clark’s story about Skattebo definitely caught people by surprise. On ESPN’s First Take, Clark recalled how Skattebo would receive a plastic bag of candy from his mom after Arizona State games. The twist? Skattebo didn’t shower before sticking the candy in his pants and then offering it to Clark. As Clark recalled:
“He would take that plastic bag of candy, and while he ate that plastic bag of candy, he would not take a shower before he came out, and he would stick it in his pants. I appreciated him, he pulled them out his pants and he goes, ‘R.C., do you want a candy?’ Hell naw, what makes you think I’d eat your crotch candy?”

Although a little shocking, the story paints a vivid picture of Skattebo’s unique personality. Clark summed it up: “But what I’m saying is this – the dude is all dog, all boy, and an absolute baller.”
The ‘crotch candy’ story went viral fast. Skattebo’s blend of quirks and heart only boosted his appeal around the league. His mix of talent, charm, and locker room personality is just what the Giants needed to ignite their roster. Looks like Big Blue might have a new kind of star on their hands, doesn’t it?
