Jaxson Dart came to the week 6 game with a New York state of mind. He was all business, and it started in the first quarter itself. They first broke the 2nd-longest streak in history of not scoring 7 points in the first quarter with 10 points in the first 15 minutes. He closed the game with their second victory of the 2025 season.

After the game, the NY Giants locker room could not stop gushing about their leader. LT Andrew Thomas was all praise for the rookie. “Just live by the sword, die by the sword. He’s a mobile quarterback, so especially at home, we can hear the crowd get loud once he starts scrambling. So we just try to train as much as we can because we know he can make plays for us,” he said after the game.

Here’s what might throw you off your chairs! Jaxson Dart (13 rushes for 58 yards and 1 touchdown) performed better than the Eagles RB hero Saquon Barkley (12 carries for 58 yards and no score). The Ole Miss alumnus doubled it with his performance in the passing game, too, completing 17 of 25 passes for 195 yards and 1 touchdown.

However, some teammates were concerned as well. RT Jermaine Eluemunor asked the QB coach, Shea Tierne,y not to run the rookie signal caller. But the coach replied, “He wants to f—ing run.” The tackle then pulled back while saying, “I’ll shut up then.” Almost everyone was impressed.

“One run, I called him Vanilla Vice. He was running around and just bobbing and weaving everybody. I was like, “Bro, what are you doing back here?” And he made a play out of it. But no, I mean it’s great, just to see him. He keeps every play alive, and no play is dead with him back there,” the receiver Wan’Dale Robinson also revealed about the rookie Jaxson Dart.

The emotions were really heightened. When Jaxson Dart left the ground late in the 3rd quarter, he even tried to go to the blue tent. The coach wanted the doctor to send him out. However, the Giants held on to the lead and won the game in the end.

Jaxson Dart proves better than Jalen Hurts

You can call it a one-time wonder. But the Ole Miss alumnus has worked his way up. There’s a popular modern saying that goes, ‘Work until your idols become your rivals.’ And Jaxson Dart has personified it after winning against Jalen Hurts in MetLife Stadium.

While preparing for the Eagles matchup, Jaxson Dart once said he modeled his game after the Super Bowl LIX winning QB. However, Hurts had kept his mind clear and light. “It does make me feel old. I got a lot of respect for his game,” the Eagles QB said while smiling. But he could not divert the dangerous offense led by the rookie.

However, this has been a long time coming. Giants legend Eli Manning praised the rookie after the preseason. But he had then told him to focus on how Russell Wilson prepared for the season. Yet, after going 2-1 in 3 games under Dart, the Big Blue have a feeling that he should create his own path.

Boy oh boy, he has moved the league. During the post-game conference, he revealed how the naysayers motivated him. After losing week 5, he was also the centre of criticism. “We can’t be naive to everything. So we hear what people say, and it definitely lights a fire in us,” the rookie said.
