The New York Giants are done taking it lying down. Before their Week 6 clash with the Philadelphia Eagles, there was a rising narrative that Big Blue won’t be able to cut it against the reigning champs. But now? After their Week 6 upset over Philly, the Giants locker room fired back at the critics loud and clear.

Watch What’s Trending Now!

Fourth-year wide receiver Wan’Dale Robinson kicked things off on X with a sharp message: “heard everything ya’ll had to say…” With fellow wide receiver Darius Slayton out with a hamstring injury he suffered in Week 5, the offense lacked some firepower. But Robinson’s 84 yards and a touchdown left no room for criticism. Slayton jumped in to back him. Reposting Robinson’s message, Slayton fired back:

“They said it wasn’t gon be no playmakers on the field…. ya aight.” But the run didn’t stop with just the wide receivers. Even the Giants’ offensive line threw down their own gauntlet.

Offensive tackle Jermaine Eluemunor put the line’s contribution in simple terms: “How about that MF OL.” But rookie running back, and the shining star of the match, Cam Skattebo took it further, shouting, “HOW ABOUT THAT MF OL CMONNNNN.” This line became an anthem after a dominant night in the trenches, silencing critics with raw power.

On the field, rookie starting quarterback Jaxson Dart controlled the game, calmly completing 17 of 25 passes for 195 yards and rushing for 58. Dart brought in two touchdowns for the Giants. But it wasn’t just Dart who shone against the Eagles. With the receivers and the O-line firing on all cylinders, the Giants’ offense became so dominant that they made Philly’s defense look ordinary.

WRs and OL lift Jaxson Dart to victory

Jaxson Dart’s 35-yard touchdown pass to Robinson in the first quarter gave the Giants a 13-3 lead. The Eagles closed the gap with a touchdown late in the first quarter and managed to carve out a 17-13 lead in the second. But that’s when Cam Skattebo decided that was enough.

Ploughing through defenses, the rookie running back brought in three touchdowns, one in each quarter. Skattebo finished the game with 98 rushing yards across 19 carries and also added 12 yards on two receptions for good measure. And the other engine was the O-Line. Jermaine anchored a shaky group forced to shuffle because of injuries. His versatility brought stability and gave Dart time to throw and clear lanes for Skattebo’s power runs.

Dart’s post-game message was simple: the Big Blue locker room is united in its quest for victories. As the rookie QB noted: “Quite honestly, nobody really expected us to put up a performance like this. We’re not trying to make statements. We’re just trying to play for each other and win games.”

Whether they wanted to or not, the Giants have made a strong statement against the Eagles. Now, they’re clearly rising. The critics? Ignore the noise. This team looks primed to make some noise of their own.
