The latest weather update ahead of Sunday’s clash between the New York Giants and the Chicago Bears is out. Turns out, the crowd at Soldier Field is going to experience nature’s own game plan during the match-up. And it’s bound to shake things up in the Giants vs. Bears game, making it even more challenging and unpredictable.

According to The Athletic’s senior writer, Dan Duggan, the game could see the winds roar up to 36 mph. He also mentioned that the game will likely take place between last night’s freezing rain and the incoming snowstorm later tonight.

It might snow during the NFL game, marking the first snowfall of the season. While it’s uncertain if snow will fall during kickoff, fans can definitely expect wet and windy conditions to play a big role in the Week 10 face-off. Meanwhile, the Bears must be riding high after their last-minute win against the Cincinnati Bengals last Sunday.

The team would like to take that momentum into tonight’s game, as they move to 5-3 in the league. In the Giants vs. Bears match, Chicago is clearly a stronger team with Ben Johnson’s smart plays and quarterback Caleb Williams leading the offense. Also, their defense, known for forcing turnovers, will be eager to dominate the opponents.

On the other hand, Brian Daboll’s New York, which sits at 2-7, has struggled for most of the tournament. Currently, they are reeling from the absence of WR Malik Nabers, which has made it harder for them to move the ball. But while the Sunday game may look easy for Chicago, New York could prove them wrong.

The franchise has been showing growth with some powerful new players. Moreover, they have nothing to lose, while the Bears have everything at stake. This win is important for Chicago as it will strengthen its playoff hopes. Speaking of hopes, the team’s running back D’Andre Swift is expected to return from injury to give a major boost to its offense.

Swift set to return after groin injury

Swift will likely be back for Week 10 after skipping the previous game because of a groin injury, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter. The 2023 Pro Bowler has reportedly recovered enough and could see some meaningful snaps. However, the team will probably go easy on him and manage his workload. That’s where rookie Kyle Monangai could step up, as he has done before in Swift’s absence last week.

Against the Bengals, the player rushed for 176 yards on 26 carries. The team may put its faith in making and give him a complementary role alongside D’Andre in the backfield. While young QB Jaxson Dart finds his footing in the Giants’ offense, Swift brings stability and depth to his team. He also serves as a safety net on passing plays, and Chicago could easily rely on him in short-yardage situations.

This season, ex-Eagles RB has recorded 464 rushing yards and four touchdowns, along with 192 receiving yards. Tonight, D’Andre’s comeback could help the Bears reassert their dominance on the ground.
