The Philadelphia Eagles had their second upset yesterday. They faced off against the invincible San Francisco 49ers. When the Birds coach Nick Sirianni was asked about his opponent’s winning strategy, the 42-year-old admitted some good calls by Brock Purdy and his squad.

The last time the Eagles played against the Niners was in September 2021. That matchup was also taken away from the California team with 17-11. This time, once again, when they faced off, the Eagles had to lose with a score of 19-42 at Lincoln Financial Field. And the coach Sirianni has something to say about their loss while praising the 49ers’ on-field geniuses on Sunday.

A respect from head to head!

During a press conference a few hours ago, the Eagles coach Nick Sirianni talked about his thoughts on the recent upset of his team to the 49ers. The 42-year-old coach praised the Niners head coach Kyle Shanahan, saying, “They did a good job of getting their guys some balls in space like for instance the last I thought that was a really good call by Kyle.”

He continued explaining Shanahan’s call, “We were in a 4-minute mode of trying to get to the quarterback, trying to create some confusion in the Run game and Kyle called the screen to Deebo in that scenario. Hats off that you got us as far as we’re trying to sell out for the run and they got us on a screen.

During the game, under the guidance of Shanahan, the 49ers quickly answered the Eagles’ score with just 2 plays and 14 seconds. Christian McCaffrey recovered an onside kick, and then Deebo Samuel ran 46 yards for a touchdown on a tunnel screen, making his third down of the day.
