Jim Harbaugh has had quite a ride with the NFL in his career and in the wake of all the hiring and firing shenanigans, there might be some teams looking into hiring the Michigan HC. After his team snatched the CPF Championship, his value in the NFL has increased tenfold. Or at least his brother, the Ravens HC John Harbaugh tends to believe so.

A recent tweet from Adam Schefter dives deep into the possibility of teams like the LA Chargers and the Atlanta Falcons hiring the college HC. The two discuss what Jim Harbaugh will bring to the table if he makes his comeback to the NFL. Safe to say that these teams have a vacancy in the head coach department after the disappointing season that they have had.

Schefter asked the Ravens HC what the league should expect from John Harbaugh if he decides to take a leap of faith and return to the league. His brother got excited and mentioned that the teams should expect the same old Jim Harbaugh, who is the “best team-builder”. “He is a high character, high energy believer”, said John Harbaugh about his brother

The Ravens HC mentioned how his brother knows the ins and outs of building a team from top to bottom. “He knows how to put it together, top to bottom. He knows how to include people”, said the Ravens HC about his brother. Per John Harbaugh, his brother believes in playing football the “fundamental” way.

John highlighted Jim’s career and his tenure with San Diego, Stanford San Francisco, and Michigan. The elder brother mentioned how Jim Harbaugh is true to himself and is “honest about everything”. He added how the Michigan team that Jim Harbaugh coached was built out of “trust and love”.

While some people think that it’s easier to coach a college football team, others think that the younger brother is ready for the job.

The LA Chargers decided to fire Brandon Staley prematurely after the onset of a disastrous season and Giff Smith took his place as an interim head coach. A report on the Chargers’ website said that they are also looking at Leslie Frazier as a prospect. Considering how he has spent 24 seasons in the league, the Chargers might just end up pursuing him.

As for the Atlanta Falcons, they have a long list of coaches that they have interviewed so far. Bill Belichick is one of those people. Considering how a veteran 6x Super Bowl coach is just running around, many teams might not want to miss the opportunity to hire Belichick to their roster.

One take at a time

Basketball has stuck with me ever since I was a kid. I remember watching Kobe Bryant sometime in 2008 and being blown away. Like every kid my age, I was utterly taken aback by his moves and abilities as an athlete.
