Aaron Rodgers recently hit the practice squad of the New York Jets. It is a much-awaited moment for his fans and well-wishers. However, the former linebacker of the Philadelphia Eagles isn’t happy with Rodgers’ way of returning.

On the fourth snap of the game on September 11, A-Rod fell in pain with his Achilles tear when sacked by the Buffalo Bills defensive end, Leonard Floyd. To recover quickly and come back to play for the team, Rodgers and his medical practitioners used a “speed bridge to speed up his rehabilitation. And now that he is likely to come back in December, the Fox Sports 1 host and former linebacker, Emmanuel Acho, accused him of being the “lover of attention” before his complete return.

In a recent episode of SPEAK, hosts Emmanuel Acho, Joy Taylor, LeSean McCoy, and James Jones debated whether Aaron Rodgers should return for the remaining games this season. On the one hand, Rodgers’ friend and former teammate, Jones, expressed concerns over his comeback because of Achilles’ recovery situation. Despite wishing for his friend’s return and speedy recovery, he preferred seeing him return next year to allow enough time for preparation and recovery. On the other hand, Acho pointed out that only 79 days have passed since Rodgers’ Achilles injury, and the quarterback is returning to play with just six games left in the schedule.

The former LB mentioned instances where he believed Rodgers sought attention, like returning to the sideline on crutches and throwing passes before games. He emphasized he sees Rodgers as someone hungry for fame and attention, stating, “I think that Aaron Rodgers is a glutton for fame. He’s a glutton for attention.” Acho suggested Rodgers might seek attention because “when you’re not being talked about, you have to find ways to be talked about.” He also concluded by expressing doubt about the MVP’s love for his teammates, suggesting that his return might be driven more by a desire for attention. He also raised concerns about the potential risks, stating that an Achilles injury can turn into ACL issues, making the quarterback’s return more dangerous.

Aaron Rodgers is considering returning to play for the Jets in the game against the Washington Commanders on Christmas Eve. He recently returned to practice for the first time with his team after the injury. Although reports suggest a potential return in mid-December, Rodgers has not revealed a specific date.

According to A-Rod, his decision to return in 2023 will be driven by two factors: his health comes first, and second, he wants to know if the Jets are in playoff contention when he is ready to play. Considering all the circumstances, a return is unlikely, but it’s not entirely ruled out.

The Jets have until December 20 to decide whether to bring Rodgers back to play. If the franchise uses the full practice window, the 39-year-old quarterback might return to the field in Week 16 in the Commanders game.

I resonate with movies, exploring places, and not missing a single NFL game. If the NFL is my love, then I have to say, ?my love? found me! I understand what it takes to be an athlete and perform at such a high level since I too have tasted small-time success in sports. As an athlete, I have bagged the coveted district-level championship in track events.
