Who is the finest defender you have ever faced? A difficult question for every offensive player. So many names can be taken at the time as every player has their own opinion. Joe Mixon recently shared a similar experience when speaking with Jordan Schultz and Draymond Green. The three of them were talking about great defensive players when Mixon disclosed which one was the most difficult for him.

The running back claimed unequivocally that Aaron Donald is the finest defensive player for him. Furthermore, Mixon told how his squad used to devise a comprehensive strategy for blocking Donald. Not only that, but the running back was often instructed to block the defensive tackle, which he despised. He had no interest in blocking Donald because, at the time, he believed he was too good to be true.

Mixon continued and shared how his team separately prepared for Donald on the field. “Man, What? Are you talking about Aaron Donald? Listen I remember when we played against him.” Further, the RB talked about how his team was really planning a lot of things to counter Donald. Mixon exclaimed, “There were three to four people going to him. I remember being the fourth man and being the chipper in the play. The coach said ‘Hey, you gotta go block Aaron Donald.’ I am like ‘What? I ain’t blocking him'”

All of these compliments from Joe Mixon give a clear picture of what every team goes through when they face Aaron Donald. During the interview, Draymond Green was also asked who his Aaron Donald was, and the former power forward responded with Kylie Irving.

Joe Mixon will also be aiming to heal from his injury right now since his return is critical for the Texans in Week 3 of the 2024 NFL season.

Joe Mixon’s injury isn’t looking good after Sunday Night.

If you are not aware, Mixon was gravely hurt in the 19-13 game against the Chicago Bears. TJ Edwards hip-drop tackled the RB at the 12-minute mark. Unfortunately, Edwards fell straight on RB’s ankle, and while Mixon got up and walked away at the time, the injury did not appear promising after the game. During the game, it was seen that Mixon was not at all able to walk properly due to which further checking of his angle was done.

Currently, nothing is certain regarding his injuries. However, there is a significant likelihood that the RB will miss the third week of the NFL season. This suggests the Texans will have a subpar offense against the Vikings. This can be a significant advantage for the Vikings, as we all know how strong they are at attacking rather than defense.
