The Los Angeles Rams discovered a diamond in the fifth round of the 2023 NFL Draft. With the addition of the wide receiver Puka Nacua, the Rams can go to a higher level. But how does he compare to the veteran Rams WR Cooper Kupp?

Even though the Rams got knocked out of the wild card round in the playoffs last season, the squad has gelled together. And the primary example is the relationship between the youngster Nauca and the experienced Kupp. However, recently Nacua revealed there is one aspect in which he is already better than the Super Bowl winner.

Last season, Nacua broke some of the oldest standing records in the NFL with 105 receptions, surpassing Jaylen Waddle’s record of 104 receptions by a rookie. Not only that, Nacua also demolished the record of most yards by a rookie of 1,473 yards by Bill Groman in 1960. The 22-year-old achieved 1,486 yards. And he has one man to thank for all his success.

“He’s the man, one of the best route runners of all time like a student of the game,” said Nacua in praise of the 30-year-old. The rookie Pro Bowler was a guest on the podcast of the Las Vegas Raiders’ DE Maxx Crosby. And here one of the co-hosts started the comparison as he asked Nacua, “Who’s a better hooper? You or Kupp?”

Nacua couldn’t help but laugh as he answered, “I would say I think I got a little bit more balanced than Cooper”. With this partnership blooming, the Rams are looking at a successful season. And they just made an important signing to achieve that goal!

The Rams during the last regular season lost 7 games while leaking 22.2 points on average per game, with almost all of their losses being by narrow margins. And the Rams are careful to provide their star-studded offense with the likes of Nacua and Stafford, some much-needed support at the back.

Their latest signing of the powerful cornerback Tre’Davious White from the Buffalo Bills signifies a positive intent. The 2X Pro Bowler’s last season was cut short due to an Achilles injury, but the doctors have cleared the 29-year-old for action.
