“I’m Comfortable With Violence”: After Upset Win, Packers TE Reveals His Desire to ‘Punish Defenders as a Blocker’
Last week, the Green Bay Packers showcased an unexpected 27-19 winning performance against the Kansas City Chiefs. Their tight end, Tucker Kraft, addressed maintaining similar momentum in the forthcoming matches as well. As the Packers are getting ready to face their next opponent, the New York Giants, Kraft is setting himself up to target the defense players of the side.

This undoubtedly suggests a potential link between his development and the offensive success of the Packers. Love, facing pressure, threw off his back foot 11 yards behind the line of scrimmage. The ball traveled about 45 yards in the air, falling perfectly into the arms of WR Romeo Doubs, who made a remarkable catch between two Chiefs safeties while falling to the ground.

In the recent Los Angeles Chargers game, Tucker Kraft caught a short pass, showcasing his run-after-catch ability as he turned it into an impressive 27-yard gain. These dynamic plays were evident in his film from South Dakota State but had yet to manifest in the professional arena.
Despite being initially ruled a touchdown, the play was overturned after a replay review. Nonetheless, it provided a glimpse into the skills that Kraft aimed to build on at the pro level. Matt LaFleur said, “You can see the growth in him. Making a huge play on a simple flat route, just showing his athleticism, his speed. But I think a lot of things you guys don’t always see, just how much growth he’s had in the run game, as well, as a blocker has been evident.”
