During Thursday’s episode of her “Calm Down” podcast with her co-host, Andrews, the former ESPN host confirmed that she is not “leaving FOX” anytime soon. And, the Calm Down podcast highlighted her remark through an IG post. Along with sharing the short video clip via Thompson and Andrews’ podcast, they provided the details of the FOX Reporter’s latest announcement. “FAKE NEWS – @charissajthompson is NOT leaving Fox Sports,” the post caption reads.

A recent video post featured a direct response from popular TV host Charissa Thompson regarding rumors about her leaving Fox. “Is this headline real?” Thompson asked, addressing the speculation. According to multiple sources, her contract with FOX Sports had expired, but she made it clear that the rumors were false.
“No, I’m not leaving FOX. I was never leaving FOX,” she said. “I don’t know where this took on a life of its own. You knowI was just hosting my family at the ranch this past weekend.” Thompson was referring to her 75-acre Ruby Ranch property in central California, which doubles as an animal shelter and often features on her social media.
She also noted her family’s confusion over the rumors, saying four relatives asked her, “The place looks great. How are you going to afford it now that you don’t have a job?” Her response: “I’m not leaving FOX. I was never leaving FOX. I’m not fired.” While addressing the false headlines, Thompson added a dose of humor, joking about her deep connection with Fox. “I hope I die at 102-01 West Pico,” she quipped, referencing the FOX Sports studio address in Los Angeles.

During her Thursday podcast episode, the NFL reporter also revealed that she began working at the age of 22 at Fox in the HR department. “As I always talk about, Fox is my longest relationship. I have worked there since I was, what, 22 years old, starting in the HR department. So yes, I love Fox.” It indeed showcased her affection for the network, as she wishes to end her career there. “I will hopefully end my career there in a long, long time,” she added further.

After a three-year stint at ESPN, Charissa Thompson rejoined FOX full-time in 2013 as a reporter. She had started her journey at FOX in 2006. She worked in the HR department after completing her undergraduate degree and moving to Los Angeles.

Last year, Thompson reflected on that beginning in an Instagram post. “I got my first job at Fox Sports back in 2006. I have grown up in this place & in this studio. There is not a Sunday that goes by that I don’t appreciate my second home & my coworkers who are also family,” she wrote.
